Join us between 12 noon and 5pm in our traditional lounge for a classic and indulgent afternoon of dainty sandwiches, homemade scones, delicious cakes and sweet treats. Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance, and a non-refundable deposit of £5pp will be taken to confirm your booking.

We had an afternoon tea which was a Christmas present from our son and daughter in law and it was very enjoyable

Lovely roast overall. However, 2 of my roast potatoes were waaay too overseasoned, too salty to eat and had a lot of dry, uncooked rosemary stalks on them, that I scraped off. Overall though, delicious. Would come back again. The roast is way better than what The Stag offer. It tastes homemade.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Afternoon Tea this afternoon, gifted to us by a family member. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted with a lovely welcome from one of the waitresses and quickly shown to our seats in the lounge. The lounge had a nice cozy feel to it. Our afternoon tea was very filling and delicious. I was extremely pleased with mine as I am a Coeliac so need to stay on a Gluten Free diet and it did not disappoint. It was all very fresh and tasty. My husband decided to take the last 2 cakes that he couldn't manage to eat home and had a lovely surprise when they brought our 'doggy bag' to us...I won't say what the surprise was as I don't want to spoil it for others, but we both thought it was a lovely touch. 10/10 today. Will definitely be back😁

salmon pate - no taste of salmon and a small portion - the toast wasn't just plain white bread. Duck etc - no crispy shallots, garlic and herb mash was just mash, broccoli undercooked, duck over cooked. Roasted root vegetables just a heap of Chatenay carrots - looked like they had been preecooked frozen and thawed out; soggy and wrinkled. Not good at all and in reference to the menu description of the items one wonders if what was presented bore any resemblance to the menu - apart from the presence of duck. I suspect I won't be returning soon. The young ladies serving were very pleasant though.

Overall ok but could have been bit more savoury as lot of sweet cakes etc which over powered sandwiches and scones

Oh dear. Popped in for late Sunday lunch. What was served was unforgivable. .. how the chef thought it was acceptable to serve this is shocking. The service was good but could not excuse this dinner.

I love this place. We had our vow renewal celebration dinner here and have been back on several dates and family dinners since then. The staff are always wonderful and warm, the building is cozy, the food is ALWAYS 10/10, the ambience is perfect and the value is great! I wanna gatekeep this place because I wanna keep it for myself but I can't- book now
