    We were traveling with a large group from out of town. When we arrived for our reservation, we found out that one of our tables had been taken by another party. Our group, which included 7 adolescents, needed to be split into separate tables that were not next to each other. The wait staff was not equipped to handle our group, even though they knew we were coming, as the reservation had been made over a week in advance. The bartender served the adults (to help us out, he told us) and finally another waiter came to assist with the adolescents. He was not knowledgeable about the menu and was flustered with our group the entire time. At the beginning of service we informed him that we would need separate checks for our different parties, which was acknowledged. When the bill came, we reminded him of that. He left and came back saying he couldn’t do it, and handed us a servers pad and a copy of the bill and made us separate our orders out, telling us to figure out the pricing including tax and tip. I was shocked, but just wanted to pay the bill. When I asked what the tax rate was (we are from a different state) so we could figure it out for him, he told me he didn’t know, and then got defensive when I smiled, asking if I was making fun of him (anyone who serves food and charges money should know what they are charging their patron, not to mention he lived in this state). As we were dividing our checks out, we noticed items that were charged multiple times- we informed the waiter, who told us it couldn’t be removed from the check since one person had already paid for her item. The bartender and another member of our party then had words, which followed with the bartender speaking to other patrons (regulars we assume) and mocking our party. We dined at this restaurant as we are Hilton members and we were staying at the hotel, but can not recommend a restaurant that does not know how to accommodate large parties or deal with the public.

    Not as advertised on Open Table and online. Instead of the breakfast menu it was a hotel breakfast buffet for $26 per person. Dishes of scrambled eggs and bacon in chafing dishes. Stale pastries and make your own waffles were available, but none of the things we saw on the menu like chicken and waffles. The actual restaurant for cooked to order food was not open until later, but that wasn’t advertised when I made a reservation at 8:30. We sat and after picking at a few things that were sub standard quality, we paid our check and took the loss. There are just too many great Italian bakeries in Providence to waste your time on a cookie cutter hotel breakfast buffet.

    Apparently, both OpenTable and the The Vig are NOT in synch with each other. When we arrived, the Vig was CLOSED!! Oh well, took my business elsewhere and we are NOT coming back.

    Nice variety on the menu (we had steak sandwich, fish & chips, sliders, fish tacos and more) and we enjoyed ourselves. Our server was attentive and friendly.

    My family and I felt very rushed while eating, at one point we were chatting after dinner and the server, informed us we needed to leave because they needed the table.

    There didn't seem to be enough waitstaff or cooks. Once seated, water was brought quickly but a mixed drink took about 15 mins or more to arrive after the waitress came back by and asked "You haven't gotten your Sangria yet?" Food order took even longer. One table nearby got up and left because they got tired of waiting for their food. Their food finally showed up after we had already been there an hour. Close to 45 mins for a pulled pork sandwich to arrive. The other half of our order - a Steak & Cheese sandwich was wrong and delivered as something called a Smashed Double Stack Burger, or something like that. By this point, at around an hour, we did not have time for it to be sent back and corrected. The food was actually good. Took about 10 mins for the waitress to return with my card after she took it. Due to amount of time everything took, would likely not go back unless just going for a drink at the bar.

    Didn’t really have a host or hostess. The person who seated us didn’t know how to access my reservation. Took a while for someone to come give us menus and take our drink order. In general the staff seemed very unorganized. Food was average.

    Unfortunately, we weren’t able to even sit for our reservation bc The Vig didn’t even look into our reservation. We made reservations for 6:15, bc we were heading to the PC game. We knew they were going to be packed, but they seemed short staffed and no actual host at the stand to checkin. We waited about 7-10 min. before getting up to the stand. There was a couple two ppl in front of us who didn’t have reservations and were sat right away. After putting in our name, we were told about 10 min., but the ppl behind us were told 45 min. We waited about 25 min., and ended up leaving bc we would have never made the game. In the future, they need to be organized and hold the reservations ppl have made in advance. We weren’t the only one who walked out before being sat.

    Made a reservation to eat here before a PC game. We waited for2 hours and our food never came out. After taking everyone’s dinner order waitress went table to table and told peopke to pay for their drinks because they weren’t getting food. Just awful!

    I never complain about en experience. But tonight was absolutely embarrassing for this place. After being seated for one hour my family was served one round of beverages and got our overcooked appetizer. Our food Never came out after waiting over an hour. This was nobody’s fault except ownership and management. We left before our meal came out. The poor waitress was alone with 15 plus tables. Two tables got food in the hour we were there. When I approached the waitress for my check she informed me that the manager had left for the night. What? How is that even possible? I felt so bad for the staff. I was skeptical going here after reviews ….never again will I step foot in this place. My family went next door to eat at the amp. I hope this place shuts down soon! STAY AWAY.
