We love going to the ViG North Central because of the outdoor patio. It's one of the best in Phoenix. The food is standard ViG properties food, but I do love their happy hour menu and old fashions. The service is good most of the time. The location is great for me, close enough to ride our bikes on a nice day while remaining far enough north to be a local spot that is never too busy to get a table.

All seemed good until we placed our food order. Two of the four dinners came out and then…nothing. We had to flag a server to get our server to come over. She waited until the remaining orders delivered before coming. By this point, the restaurant was not busy so no logic for the split food delivery and missing server. When she sent the manager over, her explanation was that they wanted to make sure to deliver the food hot. I guess half of us were to eat while the other half sat waiting? No apologies, just excuses. Not at all concerned with it. The food was good, as were the drinks, but mostly a disappointing experience. For a birthday, too.

This has been one of our favorite places to visit since it first opened. Over the last six months or so, it seems like the service quality has gone down dramatically, and this last time even the food was not as good, with two of the items that should’ve been served hot, not being so. Despite the restaurant not being busy at all, it took an extremely long time to get our food, and our waiter passed our table, at least three different times and told us that our food should be ready soon. We will certainly go back and give them another shot, but would certainly be reluctant to recommend at this point.

We had a party of 11 (14-year-olds) and had a reservation for that. They had everything set up great, and accommodated us parents with the same server to make things easier, and she was wonderful. Food was good, space heaters were on, and everything was perfect.

Best burger in the Valley. Great patio with a great atmosphere. Josie is such a fantastic server. We’ve had her on several occasions and she remembers everything and is very kind.
