Executive Chef Jon Simoneau has developed a menu that features fresh, sustainable raised Colorado beef for quality steak selections and a range of New American dishes that can be enjoyed. We also have a full cocktail bar and carefully curated an extensive selection of wines that is approachable and newcomers and connoisseurs alike.

We are located adjacent to Union Station on the corner of 15th & Wynkoop. Our focus is on consistently good food without the frills and fuss of haute cuisine but delivering on 5-star service.

The food was good but the steak was truly bad. Too thin, way over cooked and completely uneven. The other appetizers and entrees we had made up for it but the steak is one of the worst I’ve had anywhere.

We had a wonderful company holiday dinner. The service was outstanding. The menu had a lot of variety for everyone and came out quickly and high quality. The steaks and sides were perfect portions. I will definitely return.

Sarah was awesome in helping to revise my reservation to accommodate a larger group than what I booked- thank you! Ryan made great drinks and Courtney had fantastic menu recommendations. Looking forward to coming back for Happy Hour at the bar!

Everything was really great about this experience. It was our anniversary and it was clear the staff was aware of this & they gave us complimentary champagne as well! The drinks were great & so was the food, especially the steak with chimichurri!! The only reason I removed a star was because we ordered the une creme brûlée for dessert and while it was good, the sugar was *very* burnt and made it pretty bitter.

We totally appreciated the great gluten free options and the wine variety. We had the meatball & bruschetta appetizers with Prosecco and sparkling rose then shared shrimp and grits with a red wine flight. Dessert was Ube crème brûlée with pistachio. Waiter was super helpful and sommelier was very friendly. We’ll be back!

My daughters and I loved the ambience, service, and the most wonderful appetizers. It was our first time dining here and we will definitely be back.

Had a great time at Velvet Cellar! Comfy booth, steaks cooked perfectly and the tenderness was seriously out of this world. If I had to choose between a place like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Velvet Cellar, I'd opt for VC in a heartbeat! Thanks all!
