For those seeking a more refined experience, our afternoon tea features an elegant assortment of sweet and savoury treats.

Lunch served Monday - Saturday, 12noon – 4.45pm
Afternoon Tea served Wednesday - Saturday, 2.45pm – 4.30pm. Bookings are required to be made within 48 hours of your reservation
À la Carte Dining: Daily from 5pm
Sunday Lunch: from 12 noon

Our bar and snug open daily offer a great spot for coffee, tea, drinks, and bar snacks. Well-behaved four-legged friends are welcome in our bar until 7 PM

Say hello to Afternoon Tea at The Tempus! (Hey Parents, we are also offering a Children's Afternoon Tea, treat your little munchkins for £19.95, just let us know how many children in the party in the notes!!!!) Indulge in a mouth-watering selection of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and a delicious array of miniature cakes and pastries. However we do require 48 hours notice as everything is prepared on the day for you. Our brand-new menu has been carefully designed by our very own pastry chef, using freshly sourced ingredients from Northumberland and the Borders. Need we say more? Afternoon Tea will be served every Friday and Saturday. Pre-booking is required 48hrs before.

The food was lovely but the service was very slow. Not once did we get asked if wanted a drink. We found ourselves looking for staff. The location is beautiful though.

The Orangery is an exquisite place to eat and we’ve visited a number of times before and across Xmas. The ambience is delightfully quiet and friendly with an unrushed feeling allowing you to talk and relax easily whilst enjoying food and drinks. The staff are lovely, they’re attentive without being overbearing. My only gripe would be the auto tip which is becoming more prevalent. Please don’t do this, especially not in a place like this. Its crass. I’m happy to leave a tip of at least the equivalent but in cash and do for the reasons above but it must always be a choice in this country. I would hope your average clientele would follow suit. You embarrass your staff when they’re asked to remove it.

An amazing time had. Amazing flavours and ideas. Service was perfect and WILL be visiting again soon (if only to try the other options on the menu!!!!). Beautiful setting (if a little hard to find in the dark).

Today was beautiful, the food the atmosphere and service. Mark who looked after us today is the most professional, helpful and friendly gentleman. He was so attentive and polite we thought he was wonderful. Mark really makes you feel taken care of and comfortable. Such an asset to a beautiful experience. Joanna and friends

Second time here. And each time we left extremely satisfied. Food delicious, service excellent and beautiful surroundings. And to delight an Aberdonian even more it is super value even without the loyalty card! We’ll definitely be back sometime soon hopefully when the weather has improved so we can fully appreciate the hotel and the grounds.
