The Tartan Fox by Adam Handling

Welcome to our British restaurant and pub, with gardens, in the picturesque countryside of Cornwall, between Truro and Newquay. We offer sustainable British pub food, with a luxury approach. It’s a simple offering but really showcases the best of produce from in and around Cornwall. Our Sunday lunch is perfect to come and enjoy with your friends and family (and your dogs are more than welcome too!).

Great venue and great atmosphere. Never rushed to leave our table which was a great plus point as meeting with friends we haven’t seen for Three years. Definitely recommend this establishment

The experience, the food and the team at The Tartan Fox have all been fantastic both times we’ve attended for dinner. The quality of all of dishes we had was incredible, we’ll definitely be back again soon!

Food was delicious, service was very professional but a tad stuffy. Wine list was verging on the ridiculous with the majority of bottles being over £60 and nothing under £40 -considering this is billed as a ‘pub’ we felt this was excessive and sadly would put us off returning.

Fantastic food. Beautifully presented, tasted great. The favourite for me is the Deep Fried Mars Bar. OMG, it is a sweet sensation.

After hearing so many positive reviews our expectations were high. We were a party of three and we found it difficult to find fault with any of our dishes, the service or setting of this beautiful pub. It was the perfect way to celebrate our daughters birthday. The wine list is exciting. A first for cretan wine which was so good as was the lebanese red; to see real fires in the splendid fireplaces would be the icing on the cake rather than electric log burners. But that's just a small niggle. The tartan fox makes me proud to live in Cornwall. Thank you for an excellent experience.

We had a lovely lunch there. The staff were very friendly and our dog was made welcome. The food was outstanding. It was all delicious - keep space for the deserts, you don’t want to miss out on them.

The food is different but familiar at the same time, beautifully cooked and presented, the wines on the wine list pair beautifully with the food and the waiting staff were very knowledgable about the wines and helped us make the right choice. The staff were top notch, cheerful and friendly, we felt welcomed and well cared for. We will be returning

Well presented food, in a busy environment, a pleasure to see well trained staff working with confidence. Great wine list with a good selection available by the glass. Food packed full of flavour.
