While the food and the restaurant itself were very satisfactory, the reservation system left a little to be desired. The restaurant did not have our so-called confirmed reservation, but was able to seat us - after I showed them a copy of my reservation notification. The food, service and ambiance were excellent. The on-line reservation was a disappointment.

Our first time there on our visit from California! It was to celebrate my niece's birthday and to celebrate her acceptance as a junior at University of Syracuse! It couldn't have been more joyful and more exciting!! The food was outstanding, and Mia, our server was a delight. The bar tender was a kind gentleman and served our drinks with finesse! I will be returning to visit my niece and bringing along her father, and the three of us have already made reservations for Thanksgiving Day--and will be advised as to the menu when it is published. We also will be staying at Sherwood Inn for a few days to celebrate the holiday. We look forward to many visits to come!!

Wonderful restaurant in a quaint town. Everyone was so friendly, service was impeccable and food was excellent. A must in Skaneateles!

My fish came to me cold (not cooked all the way). The waitress and chef were very accommodating, fixing the problem and creating me a new dish; unfortunately, my husband sat there and ate his dinner without me. They gave us a free dessert, though I'm not a sweets person so this didn't really do anything for me. Instead, I would have liked some money taken off my bill. This was our 25th anniversary celebration so it kind of put a damper on the evening. Other than that, the food was good, the ambiance was excellent (I asked for a nice table where we could enjoy the view of the water and were put on the patio, which was beautiful.) The staff was friendly. I would try it again.

Wonderful place for a Sunday brunch. The Inn is beautiful and well-kept. It would be a great place to spend a weekend.

We were visiting the Finger Lakes on a Girls’ Vacation & were told to make this restaurant a definite stop- we did & we were exceedingly satisfied!!

We have eaten at the Sherwood over the past 20 years but we’re very disappointed in our meal . It was to be an anniversary dinner but by the time the meal was served it was well after an hour. The filet was cold, and unfortunately the vegetables were rock hard. We have had better and were highly disappointed.
