A beautiful, newly refurbished roadhouse owned by renowned bloodstock agent, Tom Malone, and operated by the Black Bear Pub Group. The Royal Oak boasts stylish dining in a traditional pub setting, with interior décor dedicated to its owner and his equestrian backround. The quality of a restaurant in the convivial atmosphere of your well-kept local.
Joint head chefs Grahame Dewar and Robin Lear add their well polished touches to every dish - the menu is all about quality local produce and expertly crafted flavour.

A very warm welcome despite the online booking system allowing us to book a table that was later than “last food orders” Great ambience, hospitality and wonderful food. Thoroughly recommend this pub for food and or just a pleasant drink 🥳

Wonderful meal, great atmosphere and value for money. Varied choice of dishes. I chose Salmon Florentine and it was delicious especially the sauce served with it.

Great food served with a friendly smile Although food is well above pub grub, the Royal Oak has a great "local"feel about it

The food was very well cooked and good sized portions and the service was very good. All the staff were polite and helpful. I would definitely visit again.

The family enjoyed steak and pizza The steak was cooked beautifully! Medium rare Chips lovely, sadly the tomato’s and mushrooms were cold. They looked good though. Waitress was lovely and on it. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. Really enjoyed a family game of snooker. Clean and tidy. Toilets clean and tidy too. Thank you

We were recommended to this pub for a Sunday lunch and it didn’t disappoint. Good portions, great quality and friendly and efficient waiting staff. We will definitely return.

We all agreed the Xmas meal was the best we have had. Menu was interesting, food lovely, portions more than ample, service delightful.
