This picturesque 17th century pub is set in the heart of Mill Hill. Here at The Rising Sun we are the second generation of a family run business with two brothers Luca & Matteo serving a take on a fusion of original Italian background while introducing a modern twist. Our menu changes seasonally & all our produce is sourced from the finest quality suppliers. Everything that is presented to you at your table is made fresh to order with love & dedication. The desserts are all made in-house. On Sundays we serve a Roast which is the best for miles. In the summer we have fabulous barbecues on the patio. Our wines are hand selected to match every dish & palate. We also have a small selection of fine ales with awards of excellence. Onsite parking, booking advised. We look forward to welcoming you.

This is a lovely gastro pub, easy to get to in a lovely setting. Food really good as usual, with a nice varied menu. Noise is a problem as the rooms are small, with tables close together. Excellent service, a good wine list that is very reasonable, and great ambience. Highly recommended.

The food here is excellent, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it were it not for two rather negative experiences: The tables are quite close together. I was having an annual lunch with an old friend. Then a family arrived at the table next to us with three boisterous boys, and parents who seemed not to worry too much about disturbance. Despite the good food and service, the lunch wasn't nearly as enjoyable as we had expected. If you're driving, it's located awkwardly, just by traffic lights approached up a steep hill. When we were there on a Sunday lunch, and the car park was completely full. But then the problem was compounded by a large laundry van blocking the already-very-tight driveway, so no-one could leave and we could not get into the car park in order to turn around. It proved both time-consuming and slightly dangerous to sort out. Why deliver laundry at peak time on a Sunday?

My wife and I had one of the best pasta dishes we have ever had in London and the service was excellent. We shall be back.

I have wanted to go for ages and I was not disapointed. The food was great the staff and service was excellant. I can't wait to go back.
