We visited at Christmas. The room was decorated well and the hotel generally was lovely. Food delicious and attentive, not over the top service. A nice easy meal in a quality restaurant/hotel

The server was good , the food was good too. Presentation was good and the ambiance was just okay. I thought it would have ibeen an elegant place but it wasn’t . It was more like a breakfast place . In fact, that’s where we skipped having breakfast because the lines were insane .

We visited for afternoon tea. The food was wonderful and the service outstanding. With endless refills of tea food it was an amazing experience.

Absolutely stunning food & ambience. The staff at the bar were very attentive, though we didn't really appreciate a £10 service charge for a bottle of champagne we bought at the bar to take away...that was a bit cheeky! However, we still think we would like to return, & maybe stay over rather than just have a meal.

This was the most disappointing afternoon tea I have ever had. It was my husbands 70th, the lady on the desk said happy birthday. There were only a few tables booked and the atmosphere was sterile. We had the festive tea, I only liked 1 sandwich and when I asked the waitress if it was possible for an alternative, she gave me 2 of the one I liked. The scones were solid and the cakes not very nice, we left 4. I have had celebratory meals at Langhams, The Ritz and The Ivy and each one has done something special to acknowledge the date, even though we weren’t likely to become regulars, we were made to feel special. When we said we had finished , we were left to get our own coats and we’re basically ignored, a very bad experience.

Second time visiting the Rise restaurant. Outstanding service and the food was excellent . We will definitely visit again in the near future. Would highly recommend for a special occasion.
