Great surroundings and excellent, attentive service. A couple of points though, the food gets cold very quickly so the offer to have hot plates would be nice. For the bigger eaters, I would like to be offered another roast potato in addition to the Three, which would hardly eat into profits and at £22 two pieces of meat is a bit frugal. All in all, it is an honest review, but there are so many improvements since it was our local 17+ years ago. Lots of patronage, so it must suit so many.

One of the best roast dinners I have ever had. The service, the food and everything about this place is exceptional. 6 stars out of 5.

We were greeted and shown to our table on arriving, staff really friendly and attentive, food was first class, a d service excellent we were very well looked after. Would recommend. 😊😊😊

What an amazing pub in a medieval village! The Sunday roast was amazing. Service was superb, pudding and coffees were just as good. Only mention would be the cauliflower cheese was a bit too hard and the cheese a bit too runny. But not enough for less than 4.5 stars. Will book again when next near the area. Happy Sunday

Lovely Sunday dinner. Really enjoyable. Roast beef and the lamb were execellent. Service was very good & everyone was very welcoming. The only criticism was the children’s meals were a little on the small size, could have been a little more generous. But we are looking forward to coming back.

Six of us had a great Sunday Lunch at the Red Lion today. Would like to thank the lady and young man who served us - really welcoming and were quick to take our orders. The menu is limited on a Sunday but the food was outstanding. Would recommend the pork medallions to start and the roast beef was 10/10 - great beef and top roast potatoes! The team brought out bowls of greens and 2 large jugs of gravy which is always a winner. Thank you to the team for looking after us - we will return!
