The Red Lion is a pub in the heart of Bloxham, just a few minutes drive from Banbury on the A361 to Chipping Norton.

The pub is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We pride ourselves with promoting local small craft breweries. From well kept Cask Ales, to fine premium Lagars and Weisens, to Belgium trappists and Lambics.

Our wine list has been specially selected to compliment our menu created by the award winning Nicholas Maloney, our Head Chef.

The Village is situated at the convergence of several country walks. As well as being next to the A361. The Red Lion provides a relaxed spot to stop and have a bite to eat on your travels. With a large garden and stretch tent, we are perfect for families and dogs.

We had a lovely late Sunday lunch at The Red Lion yesterday. The food was very tasty and well presented. Roast potatoes were crispy and the meat and vegetables were also delicious. Lovely cosy pub with delightful staff. Food and alcohol prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

As always, we had a great night out at The Red Lion. Food is always very good, and the staff are an asset to the place, really friendly and good at their jobs.

Excellent food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. As always, our most recent visit to The Red Lion was a great experience. The quality of food was excellent. Home made apple & parsnip soup, posh prawn cocktail and two plates of calves liver with bacon, bubble & squeak & tenderstem. All brilliant. Guest ale "Usual Suspects" really nice too. Don't delay, get down there today.

Service was excellent at a favourite place for lunch in a nice setting and comfortable pub. Burger is one of the best I’ve had and Chicken Supreme with pasta very good and could taste the lovely cheese in it. Both the Panacotta and the Cheesecake were great deserts.

A truly lovely lunch. Great food - the venison pie was the best we have ever eaten and we eat out a lot !

We visited for breakfast, as we have done several times before. There was a large group on one table, a couple of tables of two. Breakfast was fine. However, the bacon was left off one breakfast and the avocado was hard on the other. The tea was weak too. After our plates were cleared we were not approached or asked if we wanted any more drinks. The restaurant was completely empty and we were approached by a member of staff and told they needed the table back, there was an offer of sitting at the bar but there are only two stools and they were occupied. We decided we would rather leave and visit the local garden centre for our next coffee.
