A beautifully designed pub with dining, bar, private feasting rooms, stunning gardens by Jinny Blom and four individually designed bedrooms in the heart of Notting Hill. The acclaimed chef, Ben Tish, has created a menu inspired by the diverse cooking styles of the gloriously sun-drenched Mediterranean way of life, as well as a focus on seasonality and bountiful British produce. The Princess Royal is dog friendly in the pub & bar area only, not in our conservatory or restaurant.

For the second instalment of the Cubitt House Eats With series, The Princess Royal proudly hosts Indian-born British restaurateur and cookbook author Asma Khan. Renowned for her heartfelt approach to culinary storytelling, Asma brings an intimate feast to the Victoria Room’s private shared dining table, including a three-course menu, a welcome drink courtesy of Hayman's Gin and a signed cookbook. Vegetarian and nut-free options are available, but we regret we cannot accommodate other dietary requirements. Tickets are £75, with an optional wine flight available on the day. A discretionary 15% service charge is applied to the final bill.

Potential for a wonderful afternoon; nice decor, wonderful cocktails, easy menu etc. However the experience was compleyely spoilt by staff who unfortunately * Charged for my food twice - only noticed at home when I had time to read the bill in detail without constant interruption, some polite some not so. * As soon as mains finished,we had different staff constantly dropping by to tell us there is a reservation on the table soon. As such perfectly understandable but when where is at least 6 similar tables free next to you and it was quiet - it seemed beyond fake. They also could have offered to move us to the bar after our £160 lunch bill for two where we would have gladly had an other cocktail. Because of rudeness we went elsewhere.

Really liked the menu with good choice of various dishes including fresh seafood. The food was very good but the service not the best, probably overwhelmed because of Valentine's day. We had to ask several times for the sauce accompanying the meat and for drinks. The service might be better when the restaurant is less busy. Otherwise a pretty safe pick for a good dinner out

Very nice pub and very good and quick service but for £22 I would’ve expected a nicer roast. All of the doors was pretty flavourless and the chicken was so dry for both myself and my friend

The place is absolutely gorgeous, food was very nice too. We were asked to leave ("we have another reservation, you're time is up") after one hour and four minutes. Absolutely shocking and disappointing. We paid quickly and were getting ready to leave and yet another member of staff comes and tells us we should leave. No manners at all. I was really looking forward to visit The Princess Royal and instead felt embarrassed for having suggested the place to my friend.

We struggled with the service on this occasion and had to leave the table to go to the bar to order food and drinks multiple times… other than that, everything was fabulous!

Really lovely staff all around, and great food and a nice “dry Jan” cocktail menu! Just forgot to let them know about a wobbly table in the bar- that’s all!

Great evening overall. Staff lovely + not too invasive. Drinks a bit pricey - non alcoholic fermented tea £13 for about 250ml. You can get a 750ml bottle online for £9.50! Crazy mark up. Starters were too small. Mains delicious as were the desserts, drinks expensive.

Very nice dishes and wine lists, honesty influenced by Mediterranean cuisine, without being “fake” or “wannabe”. Do try the small dishes, all of them. Also, nice place for vegetarians, always something for us too :-)
