Newly opened pub in Iffley village, Oxford.
Mathew & Sage reopened the Prince of Wales after a long 8 month closure. They are a young couple passionate about food and drink and they strive to deliver well kept real ale and mouthwatering, moreish modern pub food.

Had a Sunday walk to the Prince of Wales and we were rewarded with a wonderful Sunday toast. Service was faultless.

Would love to give a newly refurbished pub a lovely review and the food was spot on 10/10. We did wait almost an hour from ordering and we did wear jumpers because it was cold. Owners I’m sure are keen to improve so I’m Sure this will be fixed 👍🏽

Without doubt this is now one of the best pubs to eat in Oxford. This sounds like high praise but it is genuinely deserved. The staff are SO friendly, welcoming and efficient, this alone should get them top marks but no, the food is outstanding too! Not the longest menu ever seen but plenty of choice for meat and veggies, including one of the best Sunday nut roast's I've ever eaten,and it's made on the premises. Can't recommend highly enough, full marks all round.
