At the Post we are bringing together comfort food you can feel good about with innovative cocktails, a special spirits list, craft beer & wines, the post offers a neighborhood dining experience for sharing a drink or meal with friends, family, or coworkers. Opened by Victoria Breslin in early 2018, the restaurant will serve a menu that changes according to the season. Our chef focuses on ingredients from local, responsible, and sustainable farmers. The bar program will follow the same philosophy with seasonal and fresh new ideas and ingredients.

History
Established in 2018.

The restaurant's name draws from the history of the Main Street building it's housed in, known as the Copeland Building. The historic building, which is on the list of Los Altos Historic Landmarks, originally housed the city's post office.

We were treated very poorly. We were moved from one table to the next and then when we wanted to order dessert, we were never given the chance. The servers bringing our dishes were rude and quick. Not a pleasant experience to say the least. Do not recommend.

Food, wine and dessert all delicious. Prices very reasonable for quality and location. The Wanderers (formerly wandering acoustics) were what originally brought us in but now we come to most first Friday’s when we’re in town for the restaurant, catch up with friends and of course the BAND!

Great menu and service! We come here often for brunch, happy hour, and dinner. Always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Also dog-friendly with a lot of outdoor seating.

All good. Good food. Very pleasant staff. One minor issue was … the volume of the TV playing the Giants game was overkill. (Perhaps there was a guest who was hard of hearing?). We were seated in a booth in the front part, and could not easily have a conversation.

Great spot for school meet-up with parents and kids. Just had a high school gathering at The Post with about 20 people—everything was set up on time and run smoothly, the staff was super attentive. It wasn’t quiet enough for easy conversation with a group this size. Definitely recommend!
