Join us at The Plantry Cafe for a beautiful Christmas High Tea experience on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Seatings will be available from 12 - 2 PM, and guests are welcome to linger into the afternoon. Sip fresh, organic loose leaf tea from Tea Forte as we serve you a traditional tea service with tea sandwiches, The Preservatory jam over scones and croissants, and a chef's selection of seasonal pastries. A mimosa bar, seasonal cocktails, and champagne are available add-ons. Child's portion available for children under age 13 at $35/person.

What a beautifully decorated and charming gem the Plantry Cafe is! My friend and I had a wonderful dinner experience, and although I am not vegan, everything we had was delicious! The Peartini was a great vodka based cocktail, very smooth and not overly sweet. We had the flat bread, Brussels, roasted Maitake, and the trio of Sliders. All were great, but the roasted Maitake over Gouda polenta was a 20/10, chefs kiss! Service and ambiance were excellent. Thank you for making our first visit worthwhile and memorable! We will definitely be back.

A group of friends met for lunch. The restaurant is decorated so well & the plant based food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed the experience especially Dr. Crifasi telling us about how she started The Plantry!

This is our 2nd time at this restaurant and it is still impressive in the creativity of the chef/owner in what she can do with vegan dishes. I will definitely go back. Great and unusual experience.

The restaurant is beautiful, and the meal and service were excellent. The ingredients were healthy and very fresh, and the combination of flavors made for a delicious meal. This is one of the best natural food restaurants I have frequented and the best one in Baton Rouge, and there is no other restaurant like it in Baton Rouge. The servers were very attentive and kind. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is excellent. The food is like you are eating in France. Perfectly well thought out dishes with lots of detail. The decor was very nice and welcoming. The service was above and beyond. The owner / chef came out several times asking how everything was tasting. I loved every minute of my time at The Plantry Cafe.

The food is absolutely incredible. You can’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches. The trumpet mushrooms and carrot lox are so good. I love the flatbread too. They also have great soups! Everything here is amazing.

Super cute place. Love the vibe. Great blood orange mimosas. Good carrot lox. Was hopeful for a great gluten-free go-to since I have Celiac. It was Mother’s Day and they were apparently unexpectedly understaffed but even with the patience we were glad to grant, the experience was not remotely close to warrant the extremely pricey bill. You can’t charge Ruths’ Chris prices and provide poor service and mediocre food. Cucumber sandwiches were soggy and too much vinegar. Almond biscuits were salty. Cheesecake was a puddle with zero structure. Rosemary cookie was missing altogether. It was a high tea event and even that wasn’t good - one of the kettles was cold and there were no accompaniments as described in the menu. For our table of 4 gratuity was already included but should have been waived for everyone dining that day. I may go try it again on a non-holiday to see if this was a fluke. So disappointed.

Our third time dining here. I’m new to the vegan scene and carnivores trust me, you won’t miss the meat! A little secret: get the “sample” sized entree so you can try more than one item. Otherwise you’ll have a tough time deciding between all the great choices on the creative menu. Interior is impeccable.
