The food is absolutely delicious - from the French Onion Soup to the Prime Rib to the Million Dollar Burger. The staff is attentive, friendly, and eager to help. The atmosphere is welcoming and the dress is smart casual. Would highly recommend not only as a bucket list place to try but also as a mainstay in your dining out rotation!

Food and service are always wonderful. We sat in the bar area, and it was very nice. It was where my wife wanted to celebrate her 60th birthday and it did not disappoint. Thank you, Pineville, for making her birthday a great memory

Our go-to restaurant when we have friends and family visiting. The service is always excellent, the menu expansive enough for everyone to find something they like, and the choice between the more energetic historic section of the tavern or the quieter greenhouse area is really appreciated. Some menu favorites of ours... the pork schnitzel with mustard sauced potatoes, the bacon wrapped shrimp and calamari appetizers, and definitely the homemade rice pudding. A gem of a restaurant in an unlikely location that's worth the trip.

We were a table of 6 on a Friday night. We had reservations and were sat right away. It did take the server 10 minutes to greet us. She was very nice but felt like they were short staffed. We ordered drinks, the dirty martinis were very good! We had the calamari and mussels red for apps. The calamari pieces were very small and overcooked. Why serve guacamole with calamari?? The mussels red were very good but needed to be served with crostini or grilled bread (we did not get any bread) I ordered the French onion soup which was good but was missing a lot of the onions. I had the beet salad with chicken. The salad itself was very good but the chicken was precooked/overcooked and dry. My wife had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which I tried, it was good but the portion was very small for the price. My mother in law had the raviolis and loved them. The burgers here are always good, my son had that. Overall, it was just ok especially for the price.

We had a party of 8 on December 26th @ 7:00 p.m. No rolls for the Pork sandwich. (Had to eat Burger Buns). No table cloth for the table. (PVT ran out). GARDEN Room heater was broken ... was reseated. No one would answer the phone all day, to book a party of 8. The system would not book a party of 8 ... said call the PVT. NOBODY would answer. The quality of the food has not been as good as in the past. The OLD FASHION I ordered was not made correctly. I have been a patron for 40+ years. It is not the same. Not better. Just not the same. To that I mean, not as good.

We had a great dinner at the Pineville Tavern, following a day at Peddler’s Village. The restaurant was definitely understaffed, but everyone who was working was attentive and friendly. They have a great team! The food was great as well.

Awful Christmas dinner experience. About half the entrees were not available including all vegetable sides (6:00 reservation). Garden room was cold. Waiter was very nice and tried his best, but it was a tough situation. Food took a long time to come out and was very pricey. Would never go back.

Made a reservation on Open Table for Christmas Day. They were very busy, and we were seated at our table for 2 approximately 45 minutes after our reservation time. While we waited to be seated, we had some great conversations with people at the bar. Bar service was good. Once seated, we were against the wall by a window where it was drafty and easily 20 degrees colder than anywhere else in the restaurant. A holiday specific menu was available, and there were 9 choices, When it was time to order, we were told that they were out of 3 of the choices. I settled for the ravioli which was good, but nothing special. My wife did enjoy the ham. When we were enjoying our dinner, we finally were able to move to a different table that was much more comfortable, but located on a very busy walkway in between rooms of the restaurant. As one who travels 50% for business, I see a lot of restaurants and the good and the bad and generally do not write negative reviews. I felt as if there is a lot of room for improvement regarding food availablity and taking care of drafty seating locations. We do intend on returning on a non-holiday day as we like to try historic places, but will not return on a holiday
