Welcome to the historic and brand new Pine Room! Once a writing room, a World War II Officer's Club and a Pub, the new Pine Room features an open kitchen that is the star of the show, as the Pine Room Chefs are on full display entertaining guests as their meal is prepared.
Guests will find the familiar comforts of the space they remember with the exposed historic pine wood paneling matched with our Hotel Roanoke four-diamond service that’s refined but relaxed, and a dining experience that’s unpretentious, delicious, and exciting.
The outdoor patios welcome the Autumn season capturing the stunning views of the Mill Mountain Star and the City Market, while providing an engaging visual as guests approach the property, blending seamlessly into the historic core of the building.

    It was not worth the $250.00+ bill, we had to ask the server a few times for water and take our used plates away. The steak was way under cooked and the server did not come back to check and see if we needed anything else. I ended walking the steak plate to the cooking area and told them that the steak was uncooked, they took the plate and said that they would take care of it. About 5 mins later the same steak came back on a new plate with sauce and broccoli. No steak knife or silverwear to use and for the price of $40+ for the steak I would think that they would cook a new steak not reheat and dress it up.

    One of the best meals of 2024 (including NYC, Paris, London and LAX). Exquisitely seasonal, local ingredients thoughtfully prepared by culinary geniuses with attention to details. Loved the beet salad and the maple cheesecake but really exceptional was the comfy elegance of chicken in green peppercorn sauce. Quiet luxury at its pinnacle. A perfect getaway. Added to our must revisit list. Make reservations early before this place becomes as booked up as the French Laundry in Napa.

    Great food, cooked at the open kitchen so you can actually see the process. Hamburgers are super good grilled on the open fire. The service is excellent. The prices are reasonable for a 5 star hotel.

    My husband and I love having lunch in the Pine Room at Hotel Roanoke. The service is always excellent and the food is delicious. I have a food allergy and they are extremely accommodating and always write down the food allergy on the order. I have never had a reaction from this restaurant. Overall, a wonderful place to go for a lunch date.

    We booked late for our Christmas meal so had to reserve space in the Pine Room vs. the buffet at the Regency Room which we usually have. We were initially a little disappointed that we wouldn't have access to the buffet but after a quick look at the menu, our party agreed we'd have a nice meal regardless -- and we did! One had the lamb shank, one had the Ribeye and I had the Chicken Parmesan. All were ABOVE AVERAGE!!! I could have cut into my chicken breast with a feather -- it was that tender! The other two dishes were also near perfection! All of us were very happy. Our waiter, Bruce, was a delight and we enjoyed our meal in the Pine Room much more than I would have expected. In fact, it was so nice, I'd be very happy to return there again and again. Of course, the Hotel Roanoke is always beyond beautiful at Christmastime. Highly recommended!!

    We have dinner in the Pine Room every year at this time and then look at all the beautiful trees at HR and it was amazing as usual! We even got the same table that we’ve had for three years in a row, which adds to the traditional experience! Everyone was so nice and the service was excellent. Thank you for making our families Holiday season special!
