The Pig and the Lady comenzó como un humilde restaurante pop-up que evolucionó después a un stand con productos de cosecha local, convirtiéndose eventualmente en un verdadero restaurante cuyo chef Andre Le (doble semifinalista del premio James Beard) dirige junto con su familia, creando platillos esencialmente familiares, presentándole a los comensales de Honolulu una moderna y audaz gastronomía de origen vietnamita. El chef Le y su equipo han desarrollado un enfoque moderno y fresco de la comida tradicional del sudeste asiático utilizando los productos locales más frescos, sirviendo platillos como en famoso banh mi y pho, junto con los nuevos favoritos.     Tuve oportunidad de almorzar en este excelente lugar. En un ambiente relajado tienes oportunidad de probar verdaderas delicias de fusión entre comida tradicional vietnamita. El emaredado de carne y el helado altamente recomendable!

    Food was mid. Server forget one of our drinks. Long luls between courses but not all of them. Parpadelle was the best dish.

    This is my second visit. The food is creative and delicious. It has me coming back for more. I love the local vibe, in spite of the cramped table and "casual" service. We will return!

    Pho was amazing! My scallops arrived 10 min after others’ entrees and were not hot. Grilled grapes interesting addition but seemed a bit overpriced and maybe sat under heat lamp too long. Servers worked hard and very welcoming but seemed short staffed, especially at bar for drinks. Fun, bustling environment.

    Food was excellent, loved the raw and grilled oysters. The grilled were wonderful, spicy and Decadent with nori butter. Clam Portuguese dish was nice to share and paired very well with the Rioja that we ordered. My husband got the black squid ink risotto with calamari. This dish was perfect, better than anything we have had in Venice, Italy. I ordered the scallops and as much as they were excellent. I spent a lot of money for two scallops, when I was expecting three. However, the waiter comped dessert. The brownie was yummy! Most important the service wasn’t rush and when I booked we were at the counter, but I asked if we could be moved to a table. Wish was granted and we had a delightful meal.

    The food is again a WOW. The toast appetizer is always both tasty and innovative. The duck was one of th best applications of duck ever. My friends loved their Pho (I have had it also in the past). Cardamon Brownie to share was the right ending. Again - it was a special night for us to take special friends visiting Hawaii.
