A sophisticated restaurant, with a large balcony overlooking the lush green of Brighton Lakes. There is something for everyone at The Pavilion Restaurant.

In the late 1920s, a group of golfers created the North Brighton Golf Club on the opposite side of the Cooks River to Sydney Airport, using a tin shed on the course as a clubhouse and paying two shillings in rent to the landowner for their 18 holes.

The rapid growth of international air transport after WWII meant major runway extensions that eventually forced the Club to find a new home, and in 1950 a new site in Milperra was found, and the New Brighton Golf Club was formed.

In 1979, the Club had part of the course resumed to make way for the building of the M5 Motorway. Construction of four new replacement golf holes commenced in June 1980, with players teeing off from 1982. The necessary redesign of the layout enabled New Brighton to attain Group One status.

Delicious dinner for my wife & I on the veranda. The NE breeze was blowing between the glass panes below the blinds making it a bit cool but otherwise all good.

Food and service was great. We were a large group booking and all meals were served promptly and were of a high standard. Very happy.

Food was bad.Squids were undercooked and the seafood in chef’s special marinara was days old. Service is always Bad regardless of the often management changes.

While we enjoy the atmosphere at this club, last night both the service and food was much poorer than on any of our previous visits. Whilst booking a standard table, our reservation was placed outdoors. My salmon and mash were dry and the flavour combinations on the plate didn’t work. My husband’s pizza was overcooked. The service was lacking with the person taking orders having difficulty understanding simple communication. Unfortunately was left disappointed this time.

Celebrated son’s 18th Birthday dinner on 3 August, 6pm (after a great experience celebrating his 16th at the club!) From start to finish, Catering Manager, Bulan has accommodated my requests and had great communication during the planning process. Club management on night was also accommodating and warm. Food 8/10. Prawn/ chicken Scallopini well received. Waguu burger dissapointing in size, small side serve chips. Had to follow up 7 lamb souvlaki orders, arrived around 20+ minutes ofter other guests mains. Servers a bit slack and lacked efficeincy or a bit of logic ie 30 Prawn Scallopini pumped out and left on table for me to serve to guests! Bar service so warm and friendly. Straight- forward bar tab process - Special thanks to Josh for his attentive, proficeint and warm service! He is a credit to the club! Some guests were new to the club, and look forward to visiting again. We too hope to return for Jerry’s 21st in one of the function rooms! Overall everyone had a good night!
