The Orchard Townhouse, located in West Chelsea directly across from the Highline, is an American Brasserie celebrating conviviality in all the smallest things. The menu features uncomplicated farm to table cooking with good for you ingredients and crowd pleasing familiar classics. Come for a Little Gem or some Croquettes and stay for a Steak Frites or Chicken Milanese. Don't forget to wash it all down with one of our awesome cocktails or wines from our killer curated list while dining in our cozy 100 year old brick walled garden.

Five of us dined here for the prix fix Thanksgiving. The place has a comfortable atmosphere, fitting for the restaurant name. We had a reservation and were promptly seated and met our server, who was friendly and prompt throughout. She gave us a few minutes to settle in for wine choices and brought the included cocktail. Starters included a savory celeriac soup and a salad big and flavorful enough for a meal. Main was a traditional turkey breast dinner with standout silky mashed potatoes and gravy served in whimsical gravy boats. Desserts included an oversized apple crumble and classic pumpkin pie. Everyone agreed we would do it again if we were in NYC for Thanksgiving. We also would go back for the regular menu.

It really seems like something happened to the charming, vibey Orchard Townhouse. Went for dinner the other night and the windows were dirty, the lights were too bright, the music was bad, and there was a stale, grease-smoke smell in the air. The staff (bartender, hostess) seemed like they just were not jazzed to be there at all. It made us sad. But we won't be going back.

Orchard Townhouse is such a west Chelsea gem. Food is always incredible, I’d literally die for the kale ceasar, and we had the sweetest waiter!! Always a joy coming back here.

Service was tremendous. Food was exceptional and portions were perfect to enjoy while not over eating. More restaurants should follow this example.

Pricey, okay food. Service seemed distracted. Nice low-key atmosphere. One and done, I guess.

I have been wanting to try Orchard Townhouse as I live in the Chelsea neighborhood -- it did not disappoint. The ambience is charming - quaint yet stylish; really loved the decor. It was easy to lose track of time on a peaceful, beautiful Saturday fall afternoon. I was a bit let down in the breaded chicken atop my Caesar salad - it felt like re-heated frozen chicken strips. I would get the burger or one of the sandwiches next time. Recommend this spot!
