This place was more than amazing!!! The ambiance was great and the welcoming staff was absolutely fantastic. Luna, our server, had great energy and had us laughing and smiling the entire time! Luna gave recommendations and every single drink/dish an absolute hit! Definitely coming back here anytime I visit nashville.

To start, I had to pay $25 for parking, they have a valet but no where to be found. Parking is a big challenge here. The manager sent us a toast for the inconvenience, but my wife doesn’t drink, I am a beer drinker, can’t find anything I like from the 4 beers list they offer. Food was ok, they cater to kids (kids menu) but no apple juice and no orange juice, be prepared and bring your own juice if you have a kid. We ordered Vanilla ice cream, after 15 min of us ordering, the waiter came back and said we’re out. We ordered the chicken dish, it states that it comes with dates, only a half piece came with the dish. I asked for a substitution, and I was denied for my request, with an attitude, so I didn’t order an entree, the waiter didn’t even make an effort or go ask the manager or the kitchen. We also ordered the shrimp a la plancha, no hot towels came with that, my hands smelled like shrimp for the rest of the night. They need a lot of work at this Nashville location. We will go back to the Atlanta store but will wait for a while to revisit this one.

We absolutely love coming to the Optimist; it's just a fun environment with such good quality food. You can really tell how much the staff cares about their restaurant. The food may be more expensive, but it is just amazing. Everyone goes above and beyond to ensure our table was taken care of.

Amazing space and even better food. Wait staff is personal and fun. Seafood was as good as fresh off the west or east coast. Highly recommend.

Service and Food were amazing! The Optimist tower of seafood is perfect size to share! ROLLS alone are worth the trip!

Amber was a wonderful server! Very knowledgable about the menu and gave us insightful recommendations. She also went out of her way to make my friends birthday special and that was a wonderful touch. Thank you! We will be back the next time we’re in town.

The servers were friendly. They are the only reason I would ever go back. The food was fair at best. Everything was served at room temperature or cold. We started with the Gulf Shrimp A La Plancha (recommended by server)… it was mushy and cold and overcooked ….not hot at all, in fact, not even served warm… very over cooked and mushy…. Very rich. Not recommended. Then we had the Red Fish and the Whole Flounder…. Again served cold… nothing to brag about at all….. anything on Instagram that you could make at home would be better. The only dish we ordered that was even close to being decent was the Delicata Squash (side dish)… it also was not even close to being warm but it was at least in the right direction. Drinks are definitely a ‘light’ pour measured to the exact ml so skip the cocktails and stick with wine or bubbly. I hate to give bad reviews but I have to be honest. Also, we went here last year when we were in Nashville and it was great (that’s why we came back)… so not sure what happened but nothing was the same. Sorry!
