The National Hotel, located on Richmond’s bustling Victoria Street, is a place for locals and far-flung travellers to come together in a community-minded space, where the staff are always proud to serve and the atmosphere is heady with good vibes.

The original National Hotel was renovated in 2011, with the one-hundred-year old Victorian shell stripped right down to its bones. Internal workings were finessed with rich textures and colour palettes, delivering a high level of environmentally sustainable design (ESD) through the use of recycled materials.

The pan-Asian menu pays heed to our ‘Little Vietnam’ location, providing expertly crafted pub dishes that have been executed by our head chef Bobby Gogna.

Whether you’re up for a post-work drink, dinner date, drinks in the beer garden with friends or a function, we cater to all needs and our approach is always flexible.

    3 on our table had chicken parmigiana served with chips salad and we asked for gravy. Was good value. I had the eggplant parmigiana came with chips & salad I wasn’t impressed unfortunately. The eggplant could have been sliced thicker for a start and I would have liked to taste more cheese as the sauce took over. The salads none of us liked. We don’t like herbs in coleslaw. Thank you.

    Disappointing Father’s Day lunch. Meals took over 1 hour to arrive. No apology or reason for delay provided (despite asking them to follow up where our food was). On arrival Sunday roast dinner was small. 3 slices of meat, minimal gravy and the roast potatoes tasted dry as though they had been reheated. Dissapointing lunch overall.
