Open to holiday makers, wedding guests and locals, the Murray Arms Hotel in Gatehouse of Fleet is an extension of Laggan, offering bed and breakfast, grazing boards between 1.00pm - 4.30pm and our supper menu from 5pm - 8.30pm.

We have undergone an extensive refurbishment, winning Hotel of the Year in 2023 for Best Design. Our new spaces include our bar area which is dog friendly and our new restaurant.

Excellent menu with loads of choice for everyone. All three courses were fresh and excellent. Lovely ambience. Service was quick and very friendly, even when the restaurant was full. A fantastic addition to Gatehouse of Fleet. Planning when we can go back!

We had a delicious meal, starting with the sharing flatbread which was very tasty. We both chose a Thai dish for our main course which was full of flavour and very filling. The decor is absolutely gorgeous. We loved sitting by the fire in the Burns room after our meal The staff were very polite and attentive. I would definitely recommend treating yourself to a meal here

Had a lovely meal at The Murray Arms. Could not fault anything. The food was delicious, the setting is beautiful and the staff are so pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

*****Excellent Food - up to the standard we expect from our visits to Laggan. Venison burger and chicken Thai green curry were great. The Semi-freddo (which I had enjoyed once before at Laggan and my husband had for the first time) was absolutely superb. Please consider opening for lunchtime as well - we always booked for lunch at Laggan because of our hour's drive back to Whithorn. *****Excellent Online Booking system - plus Great Flexibility, when we discovered at short notice that we would be actually able to come my husband's 80th birthday. I phoned the Murray Arms first thing that, morning, and Andrew moved our booking to 6pm the same evening - 26th March. Bar area was not very comfortable - we'd try the Dining Room next time.

We brought a couple of friens with us to have Sunday lunch at The Murray Arms. The food was delicious. Every plate was cleared for both main courses and puddings. The service was great - all the team were welcoming and friendly. We'll definitely be back.
