   Great Hosts with a warm welcome, chilled atmosphere and homely surroundings. Excellent homemade locally sourced fresh food in plentiful amounts . We will be back soon 😁

   The owners were very friendly. Food came quickly. However far too many dogs inside the dining area, including one in the kitchen

   What a lovely time I had whilst dining at The Monkland Arms. I had the landlord, Ged's handmade curry and accompaniments . Very tasty and generous portion. Really nicely presented. The pub was very quiet. The landlord and landlady made me feel welcome. They also welcome dogs. Prices were on a par with elsewhere. Plenty of parking and easy to find, being situated on the main A road as you leave the village of Monkland.

   We love Sunday lunch at Monkton Arms. The food is excellent. We are working our way through the menu and the roast lamb is my favourite closely followed by Tartan chicken. The owners are very friendly and chatty. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful and there are all sorts of interesting pictures and ornaments around the pub. The choice of ciders is amazing. We will definitely come again.

   The food was home cooked, service excellent, very welcoming. Clean and tidy. Emphasis on locally sourced produce.

   Firstly done judge a book by the cover. Outside looks a bit unkept and not many cars were parked. But walked through the doors and how lovely it was a warm welcome by the host. We had a table booked and was shown to it no menu just what’s on the board, good choice of starters (but not for me) which I must say not their fault. Three meats to chose from as it was Sunday Beef (local) ham and lamb, fresh veggies and the most delicious cauliflower cheese I have ever had. Puddings also good. Was asked if we had everything and if we needed anything else host and chef absolutely lovely could not do enough. Do not hesitate to go we would go back no questions asked.

   Service was outstanding. Lovely friendly ambience. Couldn’t be more at pains to make sure my Grandaughter had food she liked. Lamb was excellent. Highlight for me was the garlic mushrooms and the cauli cheese! Plenty of food with generous portion size.
