Modern Diner. Global Fare. Delicious Fun. This is The Mockingbird. Led by talented culinary duo executive chef / partner Brian Riggenbach and front-of-house extraordinaire / partner Mikey Corona, The Mockingbird offers a menu of comfort classics with a global twist and an ambiance of art deco diner whimsy. Walls are covered in beautiful custom-made wallpaper, painted tin tiles on the ceiling, windows open to two patios as weather allows and a larger-than-life mirrored bird sculpture overlooking the dining room. And then there’s the food and drink! Munch on a Mockingburger or Mac N Cheese (aka Feeling Grate!) while sipping an Old-Fashioned-ish or a Punchin’ Bag (ask about it – they are famous!). We also love hosting group events! We have a private dining room, an upstairs dining room and an enclosed patio, all perfect for bridal showers and bachelorette parties plus business lunches and corporate dinners. It is a cool spot near downtown. Maybe they were having an off night, but our table wasn’t ready when we arrived for the reservation. Once we were finally seated, we waited 17 minutes before anyone came to give us water or take our drink order. 50% of the chips that came with the spinach dip were burned and too hard to eat. Once the entrees came, they were actually very good, and the bar’s cocktails were also good. The fire alarm also went off for a minute during the meal, which was a nice added entertainment for the evening. It seems like a decent place with good potential, so like I said, maybe it just wasn’t their night, but they are right at the price point where the missteps overpowered the good.

Dinner and cocktails were amazing!!! We had a great experience and still can’t get over how amazing our food was. Highly recommend!

We were visiting my hometown, and I was taking my daughter around to see my mold neighborhood. She is 16and we had an amazing brunch with Jen! She was so kind and bubbly and made the whole experience genuinely wonderful. The food was fantastic. Could have lower volumes with music but I get it! She loved it. Thank you for this beautiful experience. Glad to be home.

Loved the biscuit and fired chicken!! It was really hard to talk because the tables are very close to each other.

The flavors were amazing and the waiter was incredible. Also was able to try a few off-menu cocktails that were spot on. This place will definitely be a repeat stop on our next visit.

I love this restaurant!! I came once for a brunch & enjoyed their dinner even more! Wonderful service, delicious food, & lovely atmosphere. A perfect Christmas eve dinner:)

Loved this place so much when we came last year that we had to make it an annual tradition! Delicious food and drinks, excellent service. A fantastic experience!
