Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.

The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!

Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

    All you knives need a good sharpen they let your restaurant down so blunt . Over all a lovely place have to say the lamb was quite fatty and a bit on the red side for me . I will remember to bring my own knifed next time. Enjoyed by our table of 8 . OAP smaller portions would be a great way forward .

    Amazing staff, very friendly and nothings too much. Big table but they took our order and got our food out quickly. Food was delicious! Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

    We really enjoyed our lunch here yesterday. Staff were attendive, food excellent, surroundings lovely. Menu was extensive and varied so as a pescatarian I had a wide choice which isn’t always the case. Will be recommending to friends and family…. Oh and the meals were substantial!

    The setting, food and service were wonderful as ever. However the table we were sat at was not clean, it was a metal table and the polish or product used to attempt to clean it had not been polished off so upon getting home I found my elbows of my dress were marked from where I had leaved on the table. I am washing the dress now and hoping that this will come out. Additionally in the bar I was given a dirty teacup and the milk jug was also dirty. This I found disappointing. I had brought my parents for a Xmas meal and my dad’s jacket also had marked elbows and when he wiped at the table with his napkin a grey material came off on the napkin. My Dad felt that the table was not clean and I agreed. It is a real shame to have these kinds of things to mention however I will say that the meal and service were amazing.
