As always, The Lion comes up trumps. Great food at a reasonable price, good ale and excellent service. Will keep going back!

I visited The Lion with family for Sunday lunch. The food was good for all but the vegetarian. The main course was Vegetable Madras with Jasmine rice and naan bread, the Madras was congealed stodgy sweet potato and onions with very little flavour, the rice and bread had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. But on a positive the starter of goats cheese was delicious and the waitress was very helpful.

Really lovely lunch menu - it took me a while to choose as I wanted more than one thing! Service was great plus the food quality, taste & presentation was delightful. Highly recommend.

Both the main and desert were great. A little noisy but then the restaurant was full. Service was good and wife agreed we will go again.

Excellent venue, plenty of room between the tables, friendly and helpful staff. Food was well cooked and presented. Food arrived hot and within a reasonable time. The only slight negative was the menu was seafood heavy. If you don't eat seafood you're limited for choice. Otherwise an excellent meal all round.
