   We went today for mothers day 2025 and the meal was exceptional. We had a range of starters and sunday roast. All the staff we came across were friendly and approachable from the second we entered. A special mention to Will, who was very friendly and quick with service. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much.

   Lovely surroundings, all staff made us welcome and service was good, food was excellent plenty of variety and arrived nice and hot. You get what you pay for and well worth their prices. Definitely recommend giving it a try, and would go again.

   Slow service from waiting on staff, the young man who did serve us was very polite and apologetic for the delays.

   As a dog-frindly pub, it was a pleasnt dining experience for us with our friends and pets. It was warm & spacious with attentive service. Food was absolutely fine but unremarkable.

   The fish and chips were perfectly cooked but could have done with more chips. The chocolate orange deliver was beautifully presented but a little too dry sadly. The crumble on the other hand was perfect. Will definitely return for food again. Lovely service and made to feel very welcome.

    Prawn cocktail was a rip off. Five small prawns on two lettuce leaf. Main course was nice however I asked to swap leeks for some extra parsnips. Never received them. The service was sublime. Can’t fault that. Price wise a little steep. Prawn cocktail was taking the mick. Needs to be in a glass and of a bigger portion. Main course was nice however roast potatoes needed extra time in oven to colour up.

We apologise for the issues with the prawn cocktail and the roast potatoes. You still recieved one portion of the creamy leeks as the other member of your party wanted them, and normally there is 1-2 parsnips (depending on the size) and you recieved 4 as per your request, I hope that clears up any confusion with the vegetables.
