Lovely food although a bit heavy on the garlic. Not the best place for an intimate meal but great for a group and prior to theatre. Food was tasty

We had lunch after visiting Santa. The food was excellent and although one of our dishes was missing they very quickly rectified the mistake. The staff were lovely and attentive although it was busy and the children both 4 enjoyed their food and the colouring mat and pencils. We were even entertained by a Christmas choir. All in all a lovely lunch.

3 of my table had what was described as Roast Chicken,it was not! The menu is Middle Eastern but the food is of a very poor standard, the Baclava was hard not crispy! I could go on and on!

No record of our reservation and then the service was dire. Pleasant but hopeless. Slow and inattentive. Shame as it's a great venue. Staff need properly managing and training.

Enjoyed our 'shopping' lunch on a weekday, but felt the service was a bit haphazard. The food however was delicious and well presented.

We ate here before an evening show on Tuesday 20th November. The selection of dips starter was delicious with ample portions of all three dips and the freshest pitta bread I have ever tasted. Mum and I both opted for the lamb which simply melted in the mouth. This was accompanied by delicious green beans in garlic and a fresh tasting lentil and rice dish with caramelised onions. We felt pleasantly satisfied as the portions are not too big and unusually for us, we went on to order dessert. We shared the coffee chocolate and cardamom torte which was wonderful to nibble with a hot drink. The service was efficient and courteous. We appreciated the offer of a jug of fresh water as soon as we sat down and the waiter was clearly knowledgeable about which dishes to recommend. The ambiance is very pleasant sitting surrounded by the library books, and an interesting view over the concourse area where people are milling around. Storyhouse and the Kitchen are superb. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Although booked into the restaurant we had to wait a while to get attention to be seated. The service was slow and not very attentive as it was so busy. We did not get all the dishes we ordered. I was brought the wrong drink which I sorted out and got replaced, but the final bill still had not been amended and I got charged for the wrong drink which cost me more. I did not raise it at the time just deducted it off the small tip we left. We had tried to order slightly more food, but had been persuaded by the waitress we didn't need it, however the portions are very small so would have happily ordered more, had we known this.

Food was fine but not worth the price - two small scallops for £7.50! Was good to eat at the venue of the show and be in time. Seating is "community style" at long tables, so close quarters with strangers if that bothers you.
