                                                                                                Steak was perfect, however, the shrimp was not as crisp still very good. I requested the hot butter over flame as I have enjoyed many times in the past. It arrived cold and cloudy. I mentioned this to the server as it was still cold after 10 min. and was told they have changed this and the mixture over the flame is no longer clarified butter it is now some creamy mixture! We will still return for the steak but no more shrimp or whatever it is being served over a flame. Lobster is out too if not served with hot clarified butter. Disappointjng.

                                                                                                The waited I had was great considering how busy the time was and being the weekend after Christmas, once we were ready to order it was ready in 15 minutes and everything was cooked correctly and the steaks were gristle and hard fat free. Amazing vegetables on the side, cooked for soft out side warm and crisp inside with just enough seasoning. What really sold it was how deft the waiter was taking the online gift cards, he did all six in under a minute. Very impressed.

                                                                                                We dine in quite often at the Keg, Hamilton, Mountain and I’m quite generous with tipping usually not less the. 25%. . This was the worst service experience. We were seated at 7:15 PM and our server was Mikaela. We didn’t order any alcohol as we don’t drink so we ordered pop to start off. Our drinks came, followed by the bread and Caesar salad. The bread felt sour and the salad was watery. We didn’t complain as we were hungry and just said you know what the entree will be good. Mainly the food was one thing but the service was horrible. From the beginning of service and during this time and after the entree came out our server did not check in on us once. We had to flag her down to get a glass of water and we wanted refills for our drinks and that was overlooked and never asked of. Our dirty plates from the salad and bread was sitting there the entire time until we left. It’s as your being judged from the time you sit if you didn’t order any alcohol or appetizers. As I stated prior, we have always had great service but this one wasn’t one of them.

                                                                                                Sam was amazing! We sat in a booth in the back corner and it was pretty quiet. The food was sooo good! We were celebrating my son’s 30th birthday. Thx for helping to make it special!!

                                                                                                Our server Rachael was a pleasure to deal with and made our Xmas dinner very enjoyable. She was attentive and personable and very professional. It was obvious they were short handed but yet Rachael didn't break a sweat continuing to check in on us, provide helpful suggestions and bring food and drinks at a very steady pace. Overall, the Keg Upper James is a consistent quality night out and we strongly recommend it.
