Whilst I appreciate in the modern day the vibe is more dim lighting etc for my partner who is visually impaired this isn’t helpful as the dark setting makes it hard for him to see the food or his drinks even the toilets are dark , our mistake for not staying at the time of our booking or when we arrived so that perhaps we could be seated on the lower level floor nearer to the toilets . But I have to say the service was outstanding someone always around when you needed and even when I had to take my partner to the toilet I advised our sever I believe her name was Emily C who was so understanding , I informed her as we didn’t want her to think we were leaving without having dessert/paying even with a full glass of drink left and we came back to the table with no issue at all Only thing I would say is for someone who doesn’t like fish I enjoyed the sweet and sour prawns and black cod yet my partner as a fish lover didn’t enjoy this as he found it quite sweet

We chose the Christmas menu and it was lovely. Very impressed. Cocktails were great too. Hopefully, we’ll have time to nip back again before Christmas!

Fantastic experience and service. Plenty of staff who were attentive providing excellent service, but not over the top. Super fast knowledgeable of the food and drinks. The wait time was minimal, the presentation of the food and flavours were fantastic. Definitely one for the special occasion.

Another memorable meal complete with a birthday surprise. Good to see the feast menu is updated at regular intervals. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience. We had a table for 4 in the quieter downstairs room. The décor is impressive and the food also. We chose a selection of small plates and a few extras. Every dish was delicious. The crispy aromatic duck with pancakes was visually impressive but overpriced. The only negative perhaps was the slow drinks service. We had finished our meal by the time refills arrived. Good luck getting a table. We had to go on a Sunday as Friday/Saturday evening were fully booked in November.

I recently dined at Ivy Asia in Guildford and had a mixed experience. Upon entering, I was immediately captivated by the beautiful lighting and the stunning decorative Asian Japanese paintings that lined the walls. The ambiance was inviting, setting high expectations for our evening. We were seated at a table for four, but right from the start, I felt a bit uncomfortable. The outside chair was awkwardly positioned, making the space feel somewhat cramped. Unfortunately, this slight squeeze detracted from the overall comfort of our meal. The food, however, was a highlight of the evening. Each dish was delicious and beautifully presented, showcasing a range of flavors that genuinely tantalized the taste buds. That said, at £60 per person, totaling £240, I left feeling that the experience didn't quite justify the price tag. While we had a great time and enjoyed our meal, the value for money didn’t align with our expectations. We ended up spending more than two hours at the restaurant, which allowed us to savor our food and chat, but unfortunately, our experience took a downside when it came to cleanliness. The toilets left much to be desired; they appeared unkempt, and it felt as though the dim lighting was trying to mask some of the dirt rather than enhance the atmosphere. Overall, while I'd say I enjoyed my dining experience at Ivy Asia, I believe there are areas that need improvement, particularly regarding seating arrangements and cleanliness. I hope they take these feedback points into consideration, as the venue has tremendous potential with its lovely décor and delicious food.

Always a special experience. Still has an atmosphere and buzz no matter the timing. We had a late lunch and it was still nicely busy. Sushi rolls obviously freshly made but still come quickly. Great service . Decor beautiful and there are almost no “bad” tables.
