Nestled in the heart of Brighton’s historic quarter, the brick-paved Lanes, The Ivy Asia Brighton is open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and much more.

Savour a menu as rich and varied as the diverse cultures that span the continent of Asia. With pan-Asian classics alongside incredible vegetarian and plant-based options, there’s something to please all. Expect a range of Sushi and Sashimi as well as small plates such as Pork and Kimchi dumplings, Spinach and Mushroom Gyozas or large plates such as smoking BBQ Lamb Chops and Slow-cooked Pork Belly.

Comida y Ambiente extraordinario! Espere más del servicio en virtud de que la reserva fue para un cumpleaños pero en términos generales repetiría pero no para ocasiones especiales

Four of us dining together. Three starters arrived together ; fourth starter , a cold starter , arrived 20 minutes later . As ever food good but service so very erratic . Sort it out !

Waited in the doorway for 25 minutes before being seated. Couldn't sit at bar as had two under 18 children. Once seated, waited another 20 minutes for are drinks after ordering twice. One starter forgotten so had to chase it up. My partner was still eating but they started clearing everyone else's plates and bringing out the mains. At that point I complained as things were being piled all over the place. Food was okay but overall experience was poor for the price point. To be fair, they did cancel the cost of the first round of drinks (c£20) due to the issues.

My family visited for Mother's Day and the restaurant was understandably busy. Our table wasn’t ready, and we were politely led to the ‘waiting area’ which is a few feet past the main entrance and just 2 high tables with no chairs/stools. The queue for the supposed waiting area grew which was uncomfortable not just for us, but for the other diners who had our party of 6 + about 15 other customers standing overlooking them when trying to have a nice dining experience. Things were made worse as this is a main thoroughfare and the waiting staff kept asking us to move as we were in their way, which we couldn't as there was nowhere else to go! I asked whether we could go to the bar and at least sit and have a drink, but were advised we couldn’t as children are not allowed there. So, for a special Mother's Day treat for my Mum and wife, this was a really poor experience for all concerned and showed limitations to the booking system and a limit to the design of the restaurant. Having complained to the very polite and understanding waitress, we were offered complimentary cocktails which was a lovely touch and calmed the situation, but this should have been offered before I’d waited ~15 minutes and got quite upset. We were finally seated 30 minutes late which I think is pretty poor, especially as my parents are in their eighties. The food and service was its usual high standard and a great experience overall but the points I’ve made above really need to be addressed as that’s just not good enough in one of Brighton’s premium restaurants.

We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday, love the decor in the restaurant. The service was very hit and miss, it took a long time to order drinks and food, had to ask for water twice, had to ask for noodles that had been ordered, that had been forgotten. Prices are very high for food and drink, some of the food was excellent like the sashimi and prawn toast but others just ordinary. Enjoyed it but would think twice before going again.

Libby was a fabulous waitress, so polite and professional. I didn’t catch the names of the other waiters but they were so lovely too. You have wonderful employees. Was a beautiful restaurant and couldn’t have asked for a better birthday dinner.

First time in Ivy Asia, blown away by the decor, fabulous food and cool vibes, good tunes played by resident DJ. It's pricey but well worth it.
