The Italiano, the newest masterpiece by Chef Joey Maggiore and his team of culinary geniuses, located at 90th Street and Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale, the elevated Italian restaurant will be The Maggiore Group’s sixth concept introduced to the Valley’s award-winning dining scene.

The Italiano exudes an ambiance of casual elegance, blending warmth with sophistication, while offering authentic Italian dishes that transport you to the very heart of culinary tradition in Italy. The menu will feature the flavors of old-school red sauce Italian cuisine with a Chef Joey touch. Interactive tableside experiences will include an antipasto cart where guests can curate their own plate with over 30 different items. There will also be a must-try Limoncello cocktail cart and a Zabaione dessert cart.

The Italiano's lounge and bar will be open at 3pm, and reservations will begin at 5pm for main dining.

First time dining. Arina our server was very attentive. Eddie the manager sat down and had a chat with us. All the staff we came in contact with couldn't help us enough. While we waited outside for our table to be ready a staff member even brought us complimentary Prosecco. All of these things made us feel appreciated. Most importantly the food was delicious.

This was our first time at the restaurant and we really enjoyed our experience. Everything was superb from the appetizers , to the salads, main dish, and of course, the tiramisu. We will definitely be back!

Food was terrible.Tasteless special pasta, lightly pushed by server as great. Fully burned bread. Gimmicky Aperol Spritz completely ruined balance of drink. Its a Disneyland version of a NY Italian restaurant. Could be pleasant if food was better. Service very attentive, except when they were overwhelmed with tables or just not around.

This was a birthday dinner for my wife and we were excited to try a new Italian place in town. I was warned that it was overpriced. That was not my experience. I know everything is relative, but we had a cocktail and a beer, an appetizer and two entrees for $100. Seemed fair. We sat on the patio at 6:30 pm. The ambiance is upscale with tablecloths and formally-dressed waiters. We were approached quickly, but our waiter was taking care of multiple tables and wasn't able to give us the attention we would have appreciated. I asked for a recommendation between the lobster ravioli, pasta bolognese and chicken parm. Hands down the waiter recommended chicken parm. It was a decent portion with pasta. It was okay. Mine at home is better. My wife had short rib lasagna. It was excellent and I wish I would have ordered that. The desserts were $14 and nothing really jumped off the menu proving the point that Italian restaurants are not known for dessert. We went to the Cheescake Factory for dessert and it was great! Overall, if another couple asked us to go back to the Italiano, we would. I don't know that I would choose to go back on our own.
