A beautiful village pub recently fully restored with a historic beamed bar, cosy snug room & elegant restaurant. A classic English beer garden and seating area to the front are great for Al fresco drinking and dining. 8 Brand new bedrooms opened during the summer 2016. We are proud partners with Lacons brewery and feature their range of top quality craft Ales.

Our food features traditional favorites as well as some interesting and great tasting contemporary dishes. Bar snacks and nibbles together with starters, mains, puddings and a children's menu ensures there is something for all tastes and occasions. From a scotch egg & a pint to a lovely 3 course celebration meal!

    We really like the Honingham Buck. Food and staff have always been superb. Today’s visit was spoilt by a large group booking where the six couples decided it was acceptable for their young children, maybe as young as 5, to sit on their own separate table. Only one parent and in particular took any notice of them. The noise and antics were intrusive and made the latter part of our stay unpleasant. At no time did 10 of the 12 parents intimate any responsibility and the staff appeared to believe this was ok. If we go back we would not risk sitting in that area again no matter how attractive it is. So we do recommend this restaurant but the concern that these sorts of situations should be deemed acceptable is a genuine one. The meal wasn’t worth the money today but only because we couldn’t hear each other speak and we couldn’t wait to leave in the end.

    The 1st time We went was before Christmas and returned for New Year’s Day, service was excellent and food was great, and good value.

    Absolutely lovely meal, good quality food, very reasonable in price and dishes were really tasty. Our only very slight disappointment was that the cheeseboard priced at £9.95 only had two small slices of cheese on it. Not only did we think that was pricey for what you got, a cheeseboard would normally have at least 4 or 5 different cheeses. However don’t let this deter you the est of the experience was fantastic. For a good quality pub meal this is highly recommended.

    What a lovely countryside pub, aesthetically from the outside to the inside it had a country pub feel and look, as for the food, well that was something else, every mouthful was flavoursome and tasteful, we will definitely be back again

    This is a great “foodie” restaurant, the standard, presentation and quality of the food is very good. There were at least 2 vegetarian options, both of which were unusual and made a great change from what the average restaurant offers. Service was excellent despite it being a very busy lunchtime serving. The dining room was noisy due to being busy and next time we would opt to sit in the bar where the customers were quieter but overall everything was excellent

    There were 6 of us and each meal was beautifully cooked and served by pleasant, helpful and efficient staff. A perfect, pre-Christmas, family lunch.

    Another enjoyable evening in the Buck. The usual warm welcome. The seating had been re-arranged, so I did feel I was dining out with my neighbours, but not a big issue. Tried some different dishes and all very nice.
