The Cafe food and drinks menu is bursting with fresh flavour, made with the finest quality ingredients and created with The Grounds own grown and locally sourced produce. The Cafe at The Grounds has team of chefs who constantly push the boundaries and reinvents the classics in order to deliver you perfect flavour combinations that will make you want to come back time and time again.

NOTE: At The Cafe, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to dine in, we operate on a walk-in only basis for smaller tables during peak hours. If no tables are available on arrival, we will add you to an electronic waiting list and text you when your table is ready, leaving you free to explore the rest of The Grounds. Rest assured, all groups on the wait list will be able to dine-in on the day.

Eveything was perfect except the food that I ordered, pork sausage fr the burger was like rubbery and was already cold when served.

A must visit place. Everything is extremely wonderful. The staff is very kind and polite. Enjoyed our visit

Way too noisy to enjoy. Tables packed so close together, I couldn't hear myself speak above guests at the neighbouring tables, such was the noise level. The food was nice, but way over priced. I paid $8 for 'an orange juice' which was so watered down it was like a weak orange cordial. By the end I couldn't wait to leave, that was until we sat waving at staff for a good ten minutes, being totally ignored trying to get someones attention to pay.

It used to be so nice to visit The Grounds of Alexandria. Nowadays, it’s too crowded especially during the time when they have theme setups to celebrate occasions. This time, we have booked a table for 3 and clearly got a space meant for 2, an awkward round table with one person on chair and 2 squeezed on a bench. So we end up choosing easy to eat baked goods instead of cooked food from the menu, no way we can eat properly with the awkward spacing. The croissants used to be served nicely crispy outside and soft of the inside with butter / jam on the side. This time it’s soft and cold, all 3 baked goods served on a single platter. We had to request for plates and butter and also to have the croissant heated up twice, butter and jam requested 3 times. I’m so embarrassed with the service as I brought a friend from overseas to experience the magic of The Grounds. It has lost the service standard. I made a comment to one of the more friendly staff (the one so served our area is just taking orders with no passion for service and still in sleepy mode) about the service and food standard, she waived the price of the baked good off the menu, we appreciate her quick response to amend the situation.

Sugar Plum theme my favourite theme so far! Service was good considering how busy the place was … even with an 8:30am booking! We had to wait for our table even though we had an 8:30am booking but the wait wasn’t too long, and the coffees were lukewarm warm on delivery but quickly replaced with hit coffees. Even with proof of payment the “lane way” was so busy, and glad we couldn’t get a later booking as it would have just got worse as the day progressed. Chaotic with soooo many people but loved the theme.

Service was fantastic, food was great! We got beautiful photos in the laneway, overall we had a great time and really enjoyed the cafe this morning!
