Recently crowned Best Steak in CQ, The Great Western Hotel is open for lunch and dinner 5 days per week, Wednesday to Sunday.

LUNCH 11am to 2.30pm
DINNER 5pm to 8.30pm

At the Western we pay homeage to the ‘Beef Capital’ title Rocky is famous for; our locally sourced beef cuts are cooked and seasoned to perfection.

                                                                                                            We ordered straight after each other. We were given 3 separate buzzers. I think there would have nearly been 30 minutes between the 1st meal coming out and the last 2 coming out. We had to ask about the last 2 twice cause others had almost finished meals. Food was good once we got it. I understand there was an event which is why we booked a table as we were attending it.

                                                                                                            We went on Wednesday kids eat free and kids 80’s and 90’s bingo night. It was an absolute blast, not just for the kids but us adults!! Such fun. Our food was outstanding. Steaks cooked exactly how we asked and melted in our mouths we ordered rib eye surf and turf, 250g rump a 500g rump with red wine jus and a kids cheese burger. Prices were great, fantastic drink prices plus a bonus special on our fav beer. Highly recommend a visit.

I understand it was Father’s Day, but that was a really long time to wait, especially for the oldies we had with us for the occasion. The food was as good as always though! And the day was organised well. MC was great

                                                                                                            As we work nearby, the Great Western is acknowledged as excellent meals, well priced, great options and quick service. This is our go-to for a lovely lunch out. Meals are always excellent.
