We are a Pennsylvania Co-vid certified restaurant following all CDC guidelines.
The Great American Pub is an American-style bar and grill. This family-owned and operated establishment is a friendly neighborhood hot spot, located in the historic Columbia Hotel. Chef John and his staff have a versatile menu with a little bit of everything as you would expect from a Great American Restaurant. Brisket, wings, brick oven pizza, calamari, even a Vegan and Gluten-Free menu. Community focused and we look forward to seeing you in the heart of Phoenixville very soon. Loud music was playing so it was hard to hear the person I was there with. So much cigarette smoke wafted in from outside that I couldn’t taste my food. I’ll never go there again. Quality of food and drink was fine and service was good (though they said they couldn’t move us further away from the door unless we got closer to the loud music).

Sat on the second floor which was very nice. Excellent service by our waitress and bartender. Unfortunately kids banging silverware and clueless adults took away from the atmosphere. Not your fault. Would be nice to have an adult only section.

We were seated at a very small booth in the bar area. The table ordered drinks; 2 old fashioned and a specialty cocktail. Clearly the bartender never learned how to balance and mix basic cocktails. The old fashioned was watered-down, loaded with grenadine and tasted awful. None of us could discern if the cocktail even contained bitters. The specialty cocktail contained tequila, honey, lime, and a soda base of some sort. The cocktail was disgustingly sweet and all of the honey rested on the bottom of the glass making it virtually impossible to taste. For dinner we ordered calamari, a wedge salad, chicken and waffles, fish tacos, and a burger. The calamari was very good, the wedge salad was good, but over priced at $12 leaving nothing to the imagination (a head of lettuce cut in half, poorly made blue cheese dressing, tomatoes that weren’t ripe, and tasteless bacon). Anyone can do that for $2. The chicken a waffles consisted of reheated fried chicken (with dark meat only); a waffle (impossible to ruin); and a sauce of siracha, honey, and water. Completely unpleasant. The fish tacos were so disgusting and oil-soaked we had to send them back. Fish tacos really shouldn’t be breaded. Finally, the burger, impossible for even the worst chef to ruin had to be shared because the fish tacos were so disgusting. The only upside to the entire meal was the service. The servers and bus persons did an excellent job of taking care of every need. I actually felt bad for them because they are good at what they do, being forced to serve swill. We did complain about the fish tacos and the waitress happily took them off the bill. There are so many good places to eat in Phoenixville this one definitely lands at the bottom of my list.

Everything was good except or table was not the greatest. Weird seating on bench by fireplace and a little draft fro the doorway.
