Incredible food, and the share steak is great value for money. The room is also lovely with good lighting. The service, however, was not great. We got sat on our table and we’re waiting for over 10 minutes before even being acknowledged and getting a menu. From then on, getting their attention was hard. It was a while before we ordered, and when we asked for the bill she forgot about us until we made eye contact and she realised. Also, we got seated in the back corner of the room. I asked for us to be moved to a table for 2 in the centre of the room that was free, but got denied because it had a later reservation. The table was left free for nearly an hour while we were sitting there having dinner, and could tue later reservation not have been moved to our table instead? A bit rude to have a request like that denied when it sat there free for a while and the swap could have easily been made.

Where to eat and what to order ? Glenelg Public House is EXCEPTIONAL- no other word for it. We have been there over 50 times in the past few years and have NEVER once had an imperfect meal. The wagyu eye, roasted pumpkin with orange sauce, mash potatoes, house made bread and butter-PERFECTION. Great atmosphere- cosy industrial styled dinning and great welcoming management. You will not be disappointed- generally you have to book ahead a few days or you won’t get a table- we would recommend to anyone wanting to get or have a truly magnificent steak. Love love love this place.

We ordered a 1.1kg share steak done medium and it arrived ready sliced and very rare so we ate some of the outsides and took it home to cook properly. Chips soggy and limp as they have the skin on. Mash potatoes were delicious. Very noisy restaurant and the music is way too loud. Service average

We had an amazing experience at The Glenelg public house! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Shari was absolutely wonderful—so friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect for us. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Dined out for a date night. Scallops, bone marrow then finished with 500g wagyu sirloin. All three dishes were perfectly cooked with a taste to match... couldn't fault it. Staff were attentive and drinks came to the table quickly. This is the second time I've been and will be back to try other menu items.

Great food, service and vibe. Staff also really knowledgeable about what items were gluten free and safe for me to eat as a celiac.

We’ve had this on our list of places to try and it did not disappoint! The staff were so lovely! And the food was delicious! Thank you for a fantastic experience. We will definitely be dinning here again.

Exceptional food and experience. This is by far the best restaurant on the Gold Coast. Atmosphere is great , staff are attentive, wage eye and pumpkin side are to die for and perfectly cooked each and every time. You haven’t tasted exquisite food until you have been to Glenelg.

After a few visits with work for lunch we were super impressed and I’d agree these guys have the best steaks on the coast. Amazing cocktails, oysters and don’t miss the bone marrow!
