Established in 1970 by the late Mike and Kay Tinios, the Galley Hatch has been a seacoast favorite restaurant for 50 years. An extensive menu offers traditional American Food highlighting New England seasonality and serves lunch and dinner daily. Collectively, the Three Dining rooms, Tap Room, and four season Lower Deck, provide seating for over 400 guests. With sky-lit dining areas, a fireplace, wooden booths, and large round tables, The Galley Hatch boasts a charming and cozy New England ambiance.

Service was great; everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was average, sides were small. I’m not a fan of breaded seafood, thus my average rating. My husband loved his meal so I’m sure we’ll be back.

We just love the Galley Hatch. Our server was amazing, the food was spectacular and the overall establishment was comfortable. We got right in for our reservation time, it was wonderful.

The food was excellent. Service was excellent, but the waitress was not friendly. A little smile goes a long way. However, I highly recommend this restaurant.

My fried haddock wasn't hot as if it were just cooked, but was good. Sweet potato fries weren't cooked fully, were slightly mushy and were not hot. My side of spinach came out atleast 10mins AFTER our meals but it was piping hot! I originally chose garden salad as one of my sides and it consisted of rooty weeds, a few pieces of shredded carrots and one slice of cucumber with 3 croutons. It was not a salad. No Iceberg seen. Been there 3-4 times since summer and this was not great. Last few times have been good experiences. Service was good, although she didn't check in with us much. Young girl was pleasant and patient despite a few hiccups. Still gave her a nice tip with a couple extra bucks for Christmas. Just an off day, I guess, but we'll be back again.

Excellent service, food was perfection. My haddock dish was perfect, along with friends steak dinner and another’s chicken dish. More than happy visiting Galley Hatch as always!
