A country inn pub with bar, rooms and a covered terrace overlooking St Cadoc's Church in the beautiful village of Llancarfan
We look forward to welcoming you to The Fox and Hounds - a destination pub in the secluded village of Llancarfan on the banks of a little brook. We have a large terraced area which is perfect to enjoy a chilled glass of wine or beer on a summer's evening. In the winter, relax in a comfortable chair in our newly refurbished bar next to the roaring log burner.

Dogs are more than welcome at The Fox and Hounds and they can join you at your table should you wish. There is even a jar of doggie treats for them on the bar!

Very pretty surroundings. Worth the drive for that alone. No greeting on walking in, just had to wait despite people being behind the bar. Shown to our table. Everything fine. Drink order was taken wrongly so I had to go to the bar to get something else. Starters were served, we ordered bread for the table, served and presented nice, we were not given plates to eat it off? Weird. The bread itself was either frozen and warmed up or a few days old. We were also served a starter we didnt order. Okay. Main meals were outstanding. No complaints there. Dessert was great as well. Only real issue i had was attentiveness or politeness of some of the staff.

On a super busy day with only one server working was still a great experience. The food is fantastic, we stayed for a good few hours and had a wonderful time. Wouldn't hesitate to come back. Special acknowledgement for the lady doing a grand job on her own over a very busy lunch.

I had booked in advance, as I assume most of the other customers had. We were told on arrival that there was only one member of staff working the pub/restaurant, and were told later when we cancelled dessert, that there was only one chef. The service was really really slow. The food on arrival was good, but we were not brought cutlery with our main meal. This arrived, after I asked for it, with the vegetables. No serving spoons for the vegetables were provided at all. All in all, very expensive for the experience provided, and a disappointing experience. I am local but will not go there again, especially as it was a special occasion.

Had the traditional Sunday lunch, the lamb was beautifully cooked, veg very fresh and tasty and lovely crispy roasties. Prompt service. Highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning food, my friend and I try somewhere different each week and this is the best we've eaten in a a long time! The setting is amazing too, such a beautiful location. Service was relaxing and really friendly, can't fault it at all. We will definitely be back and recommending it to others.

Yet again the food was absolutely delicious… Beetroot Carpaccio to start followed by Lamb Shank Can’t fault it 👍👍👍

Only reason it wasn’t a 5 was because service was a little slow to start with but wouldn’t affect me returning. Food amazing , best roast I’ve had out for a long time and great portions. Lovely prawn starter too .

Fantastic service, very helpful staff. The food was out of this World. Slight delay on the starters (but what is the rush I say) but the main made up for it without a doubt. The food, service and staff made it a great afternoon . Can comfortably say the best pub we have visited for a great afternoon lunch and drinks, a must visit 100% you will not be disappointed. Thank you team fox and hounds we will be back
