Seeking a sophisticated holiday pop-up in Nashville to celebrate the holidays? Grab your friends and family and embark on a train ride to The Finch Polar Express inside the historic Union Station baggage building. The dining experience will feature specialty holiday cocktails, complimentary hot cocoa bar, festive menu items, and classy décor. The Finch will serve our standard menus in addition to our Polar Express themed menu, which features holiday cocktails and festive desserts. Our complimentary hot cocoa is made fresh daily by our culinary team with whole ingredients.

Appetizer, main courses, side dish and dessert all very good for the price. Server told my wife her fish tacos would be the best she ever had - way to manage expectations! - and indeed they were. Nikki our server was very good. Serving is a real skill. You have to know your cooks and how fast they’re putting out dishes. You have to read your table - out for a raucous time that requires you to engage, or a couple that doesn’t want any engagement at all? Nikki nailed it. Personable, menu aware, and efficient. The ambience was really nice. I cant stand restaurants that blast music - what are you trying to distract me from? - and the Finch gets the music right.

Service was horrific!! It was not very busy and we waited 45 minutes before our wrap and soup came out. The other items in our order never made it out and we were finished before the server ever came around to tell us “they would be out shortly”. We politely declined and asked for the check. She never even refilled our waters (or brought out the sodas we asked for) and we were there almost an hour and a half. She offered us “free desserts” as an apology but we weren’t about to wait another 30 minutes to see if it would ever come out. The place is cute, very aesthetically pleasing, but goodness the service was BAD and the food overpriced/mediocre at best.

I will be honest that I had no regrets in life until I walked into this establishment with a small and close group of friends to celebrate my birthday. My reservation was at 8:45, and we arrived right on time. We ended up waiting until after 9:15 pm to be sat, and the hosts were unfriendly. I could have moved past all this, except for when we were sat, we were walked to the very back of the restaurant to be sat by the end of the bar, the bussing station, and the kitchen. It was extremely loud and hectic and unpleasant, and the holiday decor was messed up and in piece meal for our table. The server never gave us the special holiday menu (or told us if there was anything special at all, really). He came to our table maybe 4 times including to give us the check - it took us 45 minutes to receive our only round of drinks. We were not asked if we wanted dessert at all, no matter if it was anyone's birthday anyway. The service was not friendly or done with expertise, and the server actually dropped a steak knife onto one of my friends. When we received our entrees, ironically the portions were small and the way it was plated was unappealing, especially the french onion soup which had spilled significantly outside the bowl. We ended up sitting there for 3 hours, half of the time or more spent waiting on our drinks. We ordered food as soon as the drink finally did arrive because we feared we wouldn't end up with any food. I was frankly embarrassed to have 1) spent money here 2) spent time here 3) brought my dear friends here on my behalf. I have dined across this entire city and in many other cities, and this experience will follow me throughout my life as one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Too bad I chose to go here for my birthday!

Food was great. My daughter’s steak was cooked exactly how she likes it! The service was the best part. Our waitress was so good, very attentive. The food for the value is a little pricey but to be expected I guess! I got an appetizer and side for my meal my daughter got a small filet and we did get two desserts with tip it was over $130. But overall good experience!

The food was good, however, it took us 2.5 hours to eat from start to finish. The waitress was not very attentive.

The decor was gorgeous, especially for Christmas brunch. The manager was kind and had a new meal sent out for my husband when the first one arrived cold. We had to wait, despite having a reservation and there was no attempt from the hostesses to offer an apology or explanation. Our appetizer, tzatziki and spicy feta, was good but the remainder of our meal was underwhelming.
