Welcome to the Engine Room

Lovely place food and service but very cold most people sat with their coats on. Not good when eating and drinking for a couple of hours

The service was quite slow, we were sat probably for 10 minutes before being asked if we would like some drinks. We both ordered the Sunday lunch. When it arrived, it looked like it had been standing about for a while. The food was luke warm, the winter vegetables were bendy, the roast potatoes were a hard outer cover with mash inside. The sweet potato mash was lost in the gravy. The only decent thing on the plate was the chicken. For desert I had a round piece of cake surrounded with caramel sauce. They had the nerve to call it Sticky Toffee Pudding. I would like to see the recipe! The two minute supermarket microwave pudding is better. The wine was quite nice too. All in all, not a well spent £75.

Really great experience. The server was lovely and the food was great. It was a great environment and all round just a lovely wee pre theatre date.

The food choices are small but varied, I find this a more acceptable choice than a menu with a lot of different options tends to be less care taken during prep, it also makes it less time in cooking and waiting which I find better as the

Pre-theatre lunch venue, very smart and convenient. Had two of the sandwiches and not disappointed, nice cup of coffee, just a little slow with food service but overall very happy with service and would use again.

Good evening having a meal prior to event next door. Staff attentive without being overpowering. Good atmosphere in the pub. Background music quietly playing. Food was excellent. All in all a very pleasant evening with some good food prior. Good pub with a real good vibe to it.
