   The sauces were lovely but far too heavily flavoured taking away from the main ingredient of the meal. Meat and scallops also lacked flavour

   A very special lunch with wonderful service. The set lunch menu was delicious and good value. Highly recommend.

   Tried the tasting menu for two on a birthday. They gave us a birthday card and a small treat on a plate with chocolate wishings as a celebration. Great food, nicely timed and good service. Good flavours and tastes. We got to the point in the middle when each course was our new favourite. Then an extra cheese tart to share before dessert. About 10 courses and nicely sized and timed. Great!

   Fantastic, me and my wife books this place last minute for our final night before we returned to London the next day and it was brilliant, the staff, the food, just added to a wonderful experience. Final note the staff made it a wonderful experience loved how they took time to explain what you were eating and were very accommodating.

   Always have the most amazing food here-today was no exception. Staff were friendly but professional. Can't recommend The Elephant enough.

   Had the tasting menu with wine flight as an early birthday present, it was amazing, the second Michelin me and my partner have been to and by far the best so far.

    I have worked in Torquay for over 20 years and have found my way to The Elephant only in my retirement, what a shame! The lunch was outstanding. I call it The Elephant experience. Thank you
