The Drumming Snipe is a contemporary Pub nestled in the village of Mayford, between Woking and Guildford. Offering a warm and relaxing atmosphere for you to enjoy the perfect mid week meal, a delicious Sunday roast or a Friday night catch up with a great selection of cask ales, wines and cocktails to choose from.
Guests are invited to dine in our quirky horse trailers, covered and heated terrace or feast in our exquisite dining room but most of all – to enjoy our great quality menu, simply prepared.

We went on New Years Eve. The food was excellent with a good choice on the ‘specials’ and the service was very good.

Service was poor. Took far too long for food and restaurant was very quiet. At least 3 of the meals had drips of food on plate or bowl. Only 1 coffee and had overflowed onto saucer. Attention to small details were very poor. Didn’t want to make a fuss as I was with elderly mother. Not the experience I had before when we came for Sunday roast 🙁

Christmas Lunch from the Festive Menu was delicious, plentiful and cooked to perfection. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic Christmas lunch. Three courses and it was absolutely lovely. Good staff. Good food and drink. Really nice. Will be back at some point when finances allow.

As usual the food was very good but today there were hiccups in service and we had to ask twice for a couple of things. But all done with a smile. Will return again as the food for the price is hard to beat.

Lovely pub & restaurant and pleasant front of house staff. Unfortunately the food took over an hour and was not up to standard of previous visits.

We visited The Drumming Snipe today at midday as a family of five for their festive menu, and it was an exceptional experience. The staff were incredibly accommodating, professional, and respectful while being friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The festive menu had something for everyone, and each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The Free-range Wiltshire turkey was a clear favourite with its perfectly cooked trimmings, while the children loved the White Onion Soup starter and Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert. The Heritage Beets and Dark Chocolate Mousse were equally standout choices, leaving us all very satisfied. The staff made sure we were well looked after, and the warm atmosphere made it a truly memorable family meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and fantastic service!
