El Derby, fundado en 1922 y de gestión y propiedad familiar desde 1951, es más que un restaurante. El establecimiento es un gran museo que muestra los mejores momentos de las carreras de caballos. Los comensales están invitados a tomarse un respiro de las prisas de la vida moderna y viajar en el tiempo a la época de George Woolf y Seabiscuit y volver a vivir la ilusión de la Carrera del Siglo. Nuestro chef ejecutivo prepara las carnes de la mejor calidad y el marisco más fresco para todo tipo de paladares.     We celebrated Valentine’s Day here and once again it didn’t disappoint! Our waiter was Luciano who we have had the good fortune to have him serve us for the third time. He was not only friendly and efficient in bringing us our food but also made time on a very busy night to listen to my husband’s jokes attentively. We both loved our bacon wrapped filets which were delicious, tender and cooked to medium rare perfectly. The cheese bread continues to be wonderful. The Beringer Cabernet complimented the filets We forgot to bring our bottle of champagne so we opted to bring home our whiskey bread pudding so we could enjoy it with our champagne. The perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Our only regret is that the warm bacon and spinach salad is no longer on the menu so we opted for the French onion soup which was good but we thought it would have been better with some more onions in it. We will definitely be back!

    Shrimp Cocktails were perfect. Loved my roast chicken plated with sautéed spinach. Husband’s Beef Dip was supposed to be shaved rare roast beef; definitely not rare. His side of Mac and Cheese wasn’t nearly as good as last time.

    Both my wife and I chose the three course menus and it was absolutely spectacular. Also need to give a shout out to our server, Ally, who was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, enthusiastic, and probably one of the best servers we have ever had. Not sure if the Derby lets people request a specific server but we will definitely try get her in the future. The spiced meatball starter tasted great and was actually quite a large portion for a starter. All the food was cooked to perfection. We are fortunate to only live about a mile from the Derby and after checking a couple other steakhouses further away, we feel there is no need to drive anywhere else.

    It’s always great food the last couple times I’ve been in the servers are not rude just really forgetful don’t bring us fill up with water we asked for a steak knife they never gave it to us until the end but everything else is always
