The year was 1943, and Jim and Alice Wimmer decided to take a big risk, buying a small existing roadside restaurant known for its char-broiled steaks. How fitting that in 2018, the restaurant's 75th anniversary year, the third generation of Wimmers, Amy Wimmer, takes the helm from her father Jeff and his wife Jane, bringing her own adventurous spirit to the Del-Bar, the same kind of spirit she so admired in her grandparents. Rich History • 75 Years & 3 Generations • Award Winning Cuisine While flattering comparisons to steakhouses in Chicago and New York are regularly made by visitors, Amy Wimmer still cherishes this restaurant, her family restaurant, as one-of-a-kind.

                                                    As usual, dinner, drinks and services was outstanding. Baran was our server and he was very attentive and nice. My wife had the filet and I had the ribeye, both were cooked to perfection.

                                                    Highly recommend. We go to Fields every time we are in the Dells and we wanted to try something different. Absolutely delicious. Service was incredible and the ambience is definitely supper club vibes with a Frank Lloyd Wright vibe. 15 out of 10.

                                                    My Sea Bass was excellent, and steaks were done to perfection. Fresh salads, vegies for sides and shrimp cocktail and meatballs for apps were very tasty. Tiramisu was best ever. Service was also great, so a great experience overall. Never disappoints!
