   Carvery is excellent the chef was very friendly and happy to help. It was a very busy day for the pub and yet the staff were a credit to the pub and it was staffed with the special day in mind. Lovely mothers day daffodils for everyone and a lovely welcome. Dad had fish and chips and really rated it . I would recommend this pub for anyone looking for excellent food and a friendly atmosphere and it is very dog friendly too.

   Highly recommend, food was amazing and the service couldn't be better. The waitress we had was absolutely amazing and engaging with my 2 year old, even when my little girl was screaming like a 2 year old sometimes does when getting excited but tired. Good atmosphere and felt very welcoming.

   We have eaten at the countryman before and tend to go for the carvery which is excellent. We also go every month for the quiz held there so decided to eat before hand last night. I had the warm salad with chicken which was really lovely and very tasty. My husband had the steak and ale pie and the only complaint he has was that there could have been more gravy and the peas were a little hard. The pie however was delicious. I had ice cream for dessert which was delicious and my husband has crumble and custard, again really lovely but could have done with a little more custard. Very good value for money and staff great and service excellent

   Absolutely the best carvery , very good selection of veg , amazing value ! But I suggest you book as the secrets out and it was very busy. Definately worth a vist .

    Great food, great service and a good atmosphere. The carvery was excellent and the gravy was gluten free which was fantastic. Good value for money. 3 sizes if plate depending on how hungry you are! We will go back again!
