Whether you're joining us for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, our exceptional culinary offerings cater to all tastes.     Honestly- our server was either new or not with it. We had to get our own silverware from other tables and we had to make requests multiple times…the food was ok - not amazing. No offense but probably wouldn’t return.

    The portions are so small for the price. And the potatoes tasted like it came out of a box.

    Very disappointing. My wife and I booked a night at the castle with the intentions of also eating at their restaurant that is located on the grounds. The grounds and room were fantastic. The restaurant was terrible. My wife and I are both former servers / bartenders and appreciate a well running "front on the house". The bar top was not usable. It was completely covered in dirty dishes with over fifty dirty glasses. No bartender in sight. We observed TWO young servers for a completely FULL floor. Each server had tables peppered throughout the  restaurant. Absolutely no organization. We had reservations for 2 at 6:30. We were seated promptly and the hostess dropped off water. 15 minutes later our server arrived and asked us if we wanted to order drinks and our meals all at the same time because the kitchen was very backed up. We stated we wanted to start with drinks in an appetizer. She placed the order and walked away. 20 minutes passed and the server never returned to the table. We eventually politely got her attention and said we were going to dine elsewhere and left. This was 100% a management problem not a server/back of house problem. There is no way two servers could handle the whole floor. Completely unfair to those two girls. Half the floor should have been shut down to provide proper care to the patrons that were planning on spending 50+ for a meal.

    The menu is very limited. The food was not very hot. Chicken was so dry it was like chewing sawdust. Waitress dropped off dinners and never checked back. Mashed potatoes were served dry and no steak night with short ribs....could not cut the meat.

    Really great food and service! Awesome atmosphere. Salmon and Caesar salad were very good.

    The food was very average at best and was priced like a 4 or 5 star restaurant. The drink I had was not good. The atmosphere was like a Cracker Barrel. Not at all what we envisioned for our anniversary getaway. Would not recommend.

    Aesthetically, the establishment was charming. Lots of attention to detail that made the place look like it was straight out of a hallmark movie. Really wanted to love it. However, the food was very "meh" for the pricing. The "schnitzel" was edible, a little too old fryer oil tasting though, and definitely not schnitzel. The carrots and baked potato with the schnitzel were underdone. The potato wasn't dressed well either. The meatloaf was really dense and kind of burnt in a not caramelized/tasty way on the edges, and really didn't taste like much... just baked ground beef. The lasagna was meh. It had a weird grittyness to it. The kids chicken tenders and fries were good. Basic deep fryer fare. We didn't try drinks, apps, or dessert. The woman waiting on us was very nice. Thought it was weird that she never offered drink refills any of the times she came by. Overall, if you're going for a good meal, I'd say pass. If you're looking for drinks and maybe apps or dessert with a kitschy holiday vibe, I'd say try it, but go in with low expectations and only if you don't mind blowing the cash for some cute photo ops.
