Welcome to the Clarendon Tavern! Offering seasonal, locally sourced and handmade ingredients. Beautifully designed to embrace our heritage building roots with a modern twist. We were visiting Ottawa for the weekend and ended up making reservations here with friends that live in Ottawa (it was their first time going there too). We had a great time! Our food was really good and the drinks were spectacular (both in taste and presentation)! The vibe of the place is perfect for dinner or a night out - great vibe, music and ambiance! And the staff was attentive, especially our bartender. Will be back the next time we visit Ottawa!

My husband and I spent our wedding anniversary breakfast at the Clarendon, I had left a note about this special day and the staff attended to us with great care and enthusiasm. The food, to top it all off was delicious. We highly recommend visiting and enjoying a meal at the Clarendon!

Had a wonderful brunch with my friend here this weekend! Great service and I warmly recommend the squash salad with goat cheese :)

Wonderful experience! Cool and relaxed ambiance, delicious and beautifully presented plates, and excellent service. This has easily become a favourite spot after just one visit.

Great spot for brunch and lunch. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, perfect for groups who want to chat and catch up over a meal. We were seated promptly in a booth, and received excellent and attentive service throughout. Will absolutely be coming back.

My reservation was for 8:00. Me and my date arrived and they made us wait over 30 minutes even though each reservation has a 2 hour limit and they didn’t want to enforce that and didn’t want to tell people who were overstaying their 2 hour limit that other people had reservations made. They took extremely long to seat me and my date and we had things planned and another reservation to go to after that we got to late because of how long they made us wait for a table even though they should’ve told the people who were still there after their 2 hour limit that they need to leave soon. I felt highly disrespected, they didn’t do anything to accommodate for our wait on top of charging me extra for water. I would never come back I will make sure to tell people about my bad experience there, I don’t see why I made a reservation if I still had to wait, it’s like the host there valued everyone else’s reservations except mine and that was a big slap in the face. It threw off the vibes for the night and I didn’t like the service, I didn’t like the fact they didn’t want to tell people that were there for too long that other people have reservations so they should get going soon, that was a terrible first experience at The Clarendon, I don’t like the fact they charged me extra for pointless items it was not a good experience in the slightest.

The Korean Fried chicken was absolutely delicious!! The fish and chips were a bit underwhelming. The tenderloin was decent. The atmosphere is great. Smooth music like Cleo sol and thee sacred souls playing in the background made it a relaxing atmosphere for a Valentine's Day dinner. The place looks relaxing, yet chic.
